How would you describe the shave in terms of smoothness and aggressiveness compared to a Rockwell 6S plate?
I don't own or ever tried the Rockwell, so can't compare it.
It shaves similar to the Brass Hone 15 and the Timeless 0.68 OC. Both I've used on loan but never bought.
The Hone is as smooth, maybe smoother than the Guerrilla.
The Timeless had a similar efficiency but I didn't like the feel of the shave. I found the Timeless to be rough at times.
The Guerrilla is very, very smooth. When you say 'aggressive', do you mean efficiency or blade feel?
There is a lot of blade exposed to the naked eye but you don't feel the blade as much as you think you would and it's not aggressive. Like most razors you can make it aggressive by changing the angle.
There is good audible feedback but this is also it's curse. It stays the same throughout the shave. With most razors the audible feedback will lower the closer you get. With the Guerrilla it stayed the same due to its lack of efficiency.
I found myself getting more and more frustrated, which is never a good thing with a razor in your hand.
I would buff and buff and I just couldn't get close enough.
You can run your hand with the grain and it would feel great. Run your hand against the grain and there was always stubble left.
I would have to stop myself before I caused any irritation.
This is only my experience but other more experienced members have mentioned it's lack of efficiency. Others have said is the best razor they have ever used.
I would recommend trying it first if you have the chance. It might be the best razor you ever buy. Unfortunately not for me.
If you need to know anything else please let me know.
Cheers
Rob
