image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Can anyone tell me who is the possible manufature of this black bakelite? Razor, it has a large blade exposure and shaves like an R41, no marks or names to be seen but the best bakelite razor I have ever used. Thank you in advance for any info . P.

I thought it was a Souplex Morecambe at first but it isn't.
I know that's not very helpful.
I hope someone knows because I like the sound of it.

Wardonia would be another reasonable possibility.

The lack of branding suggests that it could have come out of a grooming set put together by a third party.

Most likely one of those bakelite razors made in England in the 1930s? As suggested Wardonia or Souplex clones?

I have one...

The Wardonia took proprietary blades, so probably not.
I thought Souplex because there's usually no maker's name on the bakelites just England.

Apart from it still being a mystery :)
Well, as suggested it is probably a British clone dating from the 30s made for a grooming set so I know more about it than I did. One thing to mention which may help the blade is a really tight fit and is very hard to remove so could it be possible then that it is a Wardonia clone?
