Diamonds Pro Excell did shave and did it very well
Really, can someone tell me the real name of those blades that @Nisse mentioned? He made me curious.
I would put them to one side a come back to them further down the line, they are not a bad blade for most, I quite like them finding them reasonably sharp and smooth. The more you shave the more your technique will improve and when it does give them another go.Still early days but definitely won't be finishing off the sample pack of Gillette 7 O'clock Yellows. 1st shave was ok but 2nd had more drag than a night out in Blackpool.
Will I never learn? Rootling around in my blade drawer, I spied a packet of Croma Diamant blades, and stuck one in my Shavecraft 102.Croma Diamants. Tried one in my Digress for one day, and it was like scraping my face with a tin can lid. They manage to be rough, blunt, and abrasive; all in one blade. Typical German blade.
Treet and Feather , Boots own brand. All uncomfortable on my skin.
Feathers are the sharpest blade this side of Neptune. No one has ever waxed poetic about their smoothness -- they are not smooth, but they are very, very sharp. DO NOT USE ANY PRESSURE WHATSOEVER. You usually only have to show your stubble the blade for the stubble to surrender and fall out. And, they're only good for one or two shaves. Good luck. Vaya con Dios.3 months into DE shaving and feel brave enough to try a Feather in the morning for the first time. Wish me luck!
