Wiping Blades

I do the same because hard water allows the build up of scum and limescale. It is a real pain in the neck so needs special attention.
I always disassemble the razor , rinse the blade, lie the blade on a towel pat dry, then carefully replace it in it's paper holder for it's next use, some of you won't agree with this, but it works for me, i too live in a hard water area and get a build up of scum and limescale, also i shave every second day, and don't use the same razor for the week.

I do exactly the same, but only use a paper napkin instead.

I don't wipe, personally. I tend to disassemble the razor, set the blade aside while I dry the rest and blow any big water droplets remaining on the blade. It's obviously not dry, but I'm shaving often enough and disposing of blades often enough for it to not concern me. As the razors tend to be coated to prevent corrosion, a minute amount of water left in a dry, well-ventilated space isn't going to have a profound effect - or at least, it's yet to have any profound effect.

I'm also fortunate in that I have soft water. :)

I really don't have the time in my life to go through any of the shenanigans described. I find it really quite strange, you see in my life that would translate to -

Set your alarm for five minutes earlier so you can sod around with a 3p bit of metal and still get yourself and the kids to the disparate places all need to be, at the times they need to be there.

Nah! the ten minutes earlier so I can shave I mostly manage fine, it's worth it for the feeling but that's enough.

I disassemble the razor and blade rinse under running tap, and dry strop the blade on back of towel. Reassemble job done. I change blades weekly. Been doing this for over 10 years no issues and getting great bbs shave consistently no matter the blade brand.
