While looking for British wit, I discovered British problems...

OK, so long story short: I was looking for a book that would help me grasp the British spirit, something cheap, funny and easy to read for a slow brain like mine; I was about to go for Sir Winston Chruchill's wit, but I decided to broaden my scope.

Coincidentally, I stumbled upon a sub-forum of reddit named British problems (I believe it has something to do with a book or a TV show of the same name, collecting tweets). However, it's truly brilliant and you can grasp the absurd of a situation in a glance:

"Thinking you're a top class person because yo said "Thanks" to the bus driver as you got off, until the person behind you comes out with "Cheers very much mate, appreciate it".

It's even funnier when (or because) you can relate to it (or had experienced it...)

"I woke up this morning feeling unwell. Had a cup of tea and I don't feel any better. I think this is the end."

"Got stuck in a traffic jam - Turns out it's because of drivers avoiding a 5cm puddle."

It's good, really good. The core essence of British humour in just a few words.
