What sandalwood soap / cream would you recommend?

I like DR Harris Marlborough soap (not a straight up Sandalwood it is a leathery Cedar/Sandalwood) and their Sandalwood soap which is quite different. Both good though some find the Marlborough to be a polarising scent, I like it.
I'd agree, I quite like the Marlborough soap and it's one of my Dr harris favourites.

...OSP is my fabourite, it would be a fantastic soap if the scent strength was stronger. I can't separate TOBS soap and Fine Santal Absolut for my second favourite sandalwood scent, they are both very different but I like them equally. The proraso sandalwood to my nose is darker, more earthy than the Fine and TOBS but not as nice though, although I think the scent will grow on me. I've shaved with it only once so far but I found it lacks in slickness in comparison to the other 3. As a test, I used Fine Santal Absolut for my last pass and the difference in slickness was very evident..... still, for the price, not a bad soap...

I am going to ask a straight up comparison question if I may: how do you rate the Fine Santal Absolut against the OSP Sandalwood head to head purely for performance, mainly slickness?

I think the OSP has the edge on the FIne Santal Absolut and that is not to say that you would be unhappy with the Fine soap slickness and performance but the OSP is just a little bit better.
The slickness of the OSP is simply fantastic and I'm used to using Stirling and PAA soaps that are highly regarded for their slickness.

Absolutely, I love the scents of Marlborough soap. It's a subtle scent but strong enough for my wife to notice it and complement me on my choice.

There are as many takes on sandalwood scents as there are soaps.
In no time I seem to have accumulated six sandalwood soaps and I'm enjoying them all.

Uh? 'What you talking about Willis?'
Here's you now.

I found another favourite sandalwood :) Catie's Bubbles Santal Sensuelle - like the OSP it's very earthy but to my nose the top notes and base notes are better balanced. Also a mild scent but there's a more distinct difference between the sandalwood notes and the earthy notes.

I'd say the sandalwood in this soap is the sandalwood found in the proraso, that is what I first get, followed by the earthy notes..... very nice scent for people that like dry scents.

Scent strength is below the strength of the proraso but perfectly balanced with the earthy notes.

Performance is excellent too - with the OSP and this Catie's bubbles I have two excellent performers.

Anyway, that's it for me as far as searching for sandalwood scents.... I'm quite happy with what I have found so far. I haven't tried AOS but I have tried Fine Santal and I have it on good authority that the scents are virtually the same.... also a very good soap. My thanks for your comments and suggestions, they helped a lot :)
