What made your day a crap one??

Constant interruption at work. Not a line of code written because of meeting after meeting after question after question. Can't anyone make a decision or take some responsibility without "seeing what Brads thinks"?

Whilst in bed some Bastard got into my house and took my car keys and car,it was only six months old, scary thought to think they were downstairs while we sleeping upstairs.
Apparently there were several last night in the area in which I live, maybe time to move.

Dave.

Shit! Sorry to hear mate.

We had a bout of the same thing a few years ago, we never got done over but since then we all take our keys up to bed with us, no keys, wallets or purses at all are ever left downstairs as a precaution.

We also have 2 big dogs, a German Shepard/Shar Pei cross and a 6 stone Malamute. Anyone knocking about we know before they even attempt to get in, dogs are a great deterrent (if your life style allows you to have them ofc)

Sadly dogs are not an option as we both work but I will have to get a deterrent of some sort as I don't think I will sleep properly for a bit.

Unlucky, and unfortunately it seems there is not much you can do to stop someone who really wants to get in and rob you of your possessions. Scum. At least it was only your car that was taken, these things you can replace...you and your family were unharmed, physically anyway.

Plumbers who were supposed to arrive first thing this morning who didn't bother turning up. Then a trip to the vet with the cat and a nice 200 quid bill as the insurance won't cover the condition.

Jez! I feel lame for complaining about the £64 vet bill for a dogs ear infection!

We have a shar pei cross too. Cost us 1200 quid to have his eyes done as he had the turned in eyelashes. Insurance tried to screw us for that too. Said I didn't disclose he was part shar pei. Told them he was a crossbreed and they didn't ask what he was crossed with when we took the policy. They paid up. Lol.

How did they get in? If you have a UPVC door it's worth getting a reinforced steel handle and snap lock euro cylinder.

Had to have one of our moggies put to sleep yesterday ........... Bit hard looking at the space on the floor where her bed used to be. She got to live to a grand old age and was well loved but, in the end, old age is what got her.

About 5 years ago we had to put our 15 year old Border Collie down. I never really jelled with her and she was always the wifes dog. When we had her put down (medicial reason) I cried like a baby, the vet wouldn't let me out of the surgery until I had calmed down a bit.

Now I've my own dog, Sherlock, that I love the bones of I don't know what state I'll be in when the time comes, I'll be in pieces.

Why do we get pets and put ourselves through this?

One of the most precious tributes we pay our loved animal family members are the tears we shed when we hold them in our arms on their last journey Mark. Our. rescue dogs came to us, over the years, with many horrendous tales behind them. They left being cuddled by those who loved them and being told, and knowing, how precious they were. Not such a bad way to say " Au Revoir " is it.

Johnny.
