Ever Ready 1912 (Made in England) - £5.94 from eBay. Bit of corrosion at one hinge but I wanted one which isn't pristine as a potential project...

Pulled the trigger on a SR - will update y'all when it arrives. Looks like it needs a quick polish up and probably a honing but that might be one to add to the 'projects box'. Looks lovely however, my biggest to date!

Well don't tell me then! I will tell you what I have done to a 1912 head, the flip up cap was quite badly scratched so I removed it from the rest of the head and polished off all the scratched chrome leaving a beautiful shiny brass flip up cap and fit it back together. It has transformed a scruffy looking razor and next I will be fitting a SS handle. There, I've told you what I'm doing! now tell me !

Got pics? I'm thinking along similar-ish lines... I've also got many chemicals at my disposal, including some metal acetates... which are oddly-enough good for metal plating, hmm...

Either that or I might try and inject some colour into my project... we'll see! Did you find any guides as to disassembly? I've seen some being described but I'm quite the visual learner so pictures/videos are best for me.

Easy to pry off, with a small screwdriver placed under the pins at the sides. Just used metal polish to take off the thin coating of nickle plate.
It looks better than the photo may suggest!

It certainly looks better than it did before and when you are only paying a few quid for them it's worth some experimentation !
