The Cyril Salter Wild Rose is lovely - smells like Turkish delight and gives a good shave with a good post-shave feel! :D

I love my 1305 I just wish they didn't dye the boar bristles to imitate badger, I love boar brushes, I don't want to pretend it's a badger......moan over....:)
in that case you should buy Semogue 1250, same size knot with natural boar bristles without badger looks and the handle is same but don't have the glossy White and Green paint job, just a natural wood handle. Same size brush as 1305(same length, same size knot, same size and shape handle)

Yes I may well do that, the only reason I have the 1305 was because it was kindly given to me and it's only a visual thing but if I was to buy it's always undyed for me, I like my boars to look like boars, fantastic brushes. :)

I agree %100 and same here. I think dying the boar bristles to look like a badger brush is the most unnecessary and disturbing thing ever made in shaving brush history.

I've used badger brushes for 20+ years and wanted to try a boar and went for a dyed one (Omega 81230), as I'd been told the process softened the bristles. Was I misinformed?
I don't know if that dying process of the boar brush to imitate badger hair has any positive or negative effects. I was talking about the looks of it.

I get where you're coming from boar should look like boar.
But, if the process does soften the bristles, can't they do it and keep the bristles plain?
I have undyed boar that are plenty soft so may have been through a process to soften them and they just keep getting softer, each to their own I suppose but I think you should be happy that you've bought a boar because they are great. brushes, so why buy one that is pretending it's a badger. I'm with @Sezer1974 when it comes to the matter of dying boar brushes....keep them plain. :)

Regardless of the model and if it's dyed or not I hope you are enjoying your boar brush, they are oftern overlooked imo, when broken in can be as soft as any fine badger brush, and represent great value for money. :)
