What are you drinking tonight.

I haven't had that much ginger ale to be honest.
Just for you I will track down one of these in the local Sainsburys and report back

Yep, lots of different takes on ginger ale. The Fever Tree brand is an example of a premium small niche sorta item. You can bet this version will have some unusual flavor notes in the mix.

Couple years ago a thread mentioned the FT tonic water. I had tried it but it had too much going on and also was missing some much needed sweetness. Crazy money for a small bottle.

Oh ... any good? Being a big Guinness fan, my ears perked up when I saw the advert ... but thoughts of that green can (Bitter, was it?) reminded me that Guinness make Guinness and should stick to making Guinness.

Any good?

It's a Decent lager, amber colour with tofee, peach, abit floral and a touch of orange in the smell, fairly sweet but refreshing.
It's a pretty decent well rounded larger.

G'day TP,
We may be neighbors on Islay my plot no is 346232, JWB being a blended brew is not on my drinking list but I am saving up to buy another plot of land for my birthday ;-)
Have you sampled the other Islay Single Malt, Bowmore another nice wee dram.

I've tried most of the Islay malts, Gerry. My favourite is probably Lagavulin.

However, if you like a peated malt I can thoroughly recommend Benriach Curiositas. It's a peated Speyside whisky but is utterly superb (as are all the other Benriach whiskys I've tried).

G'day TP ,
When he had the money Lagavulin was my Grandads favourite however being on the other side of the world I don't have access to many Malts however as a coincidence I sampled a Benriach the other month and it was superb could only have one finger with a dribble of water ,being a Speyside from Aberlour (if I remember )it took me back to my time in Glenfiddich when I could only have the water.

One of those old dependable brews

Made in my hometown. Beautiful.

Aberlour 12 and Glenfarclas 105.

Almost finished both. Don't think I'd buy the Aberlour again. I've tried both the 10 and the 12 and they aren't to my taste.

The Glenfarclas is cask strength so it doesn't half hoof you in the knackers. However, in common with the other Glenfarclas whiskys I've tried, it's superb. Not sure if I'd buy this instead of their 'normal' ones but I might!

Finally got around to finding some Guinness Hop House 13 ... Gosh! That's good lager! Really crisp! Very refreshing!

I've just finished swapping off snow tyres. Both cars. Yes, I know! I know! It's 25C ... but it was snowing last week. I was really slack now swapping them off at the end of March, but I'm glad I didn't as we had a good number of days where the temperature didn't get over 7 or 8C with night time sub-zeros ... and yes, there was that snow last week.

So, that's 8x 17" wheels shifted down from the shed, elevation of some 40' from the road up and down some precarious steps that put the Steps to Mordor into the "meh!" category, swapped and 8x 17" wheels moved back up there. Phew! Now I'm going to Creokote the fence ... and then have another one of these lovely lagers :D

105 is a sublime whisky, very strong as you say. If you like them a bit more mellow, I highly recommend the Glenfarclas 15yr old if you've not tried it. I'm savouring my bottle, it's very good stuff.

Cointreau called to me and I poured that last ounce and a half from the bottle. No sense saving a little bit for next time. Hah, sometimes sipped with a Canada Dry ginger ale backer.
