UK meteorology

As Johnny doesn't mind, I'll post Liam's series on Atlantic hurricanes. I know this thread is UK weather, but I thought it was an interesting subject; sometimes, the remnants of these systems get caught-up in the jet stream and deepen as conventional deep areas of low pressure which then affect us, so there is a tenuous UK link anyway. Here's part 1:

Further to the above video, here's an image from Liam's Twitter account showing how the tropical storm might get caught-up in the Jet, thereby making it more meridional:
