Met Office reporting that Doris is starting to slightly weaken - latest gusts at Capel Curig *only* 80mph!
That being said, as she nears my area, our already strong winds will intensify.

The worst of the winds are always in the SW quadrant of the low, and as the low centre was further south, Leeds is missing most of the wind action. There always some doubt about the exact track, slightly north or south. The calmest conditions for those sitting right under the low centre. NW 'ly to follow will be cold and wintry

Dartford Bridge and A14 Orwell Bridge near Ipswich both closed. Given that the A14 is the main route from the Port of Felixstowe to the Midlands, plenty of disruption to road freight is inevitable.

Trains in and out of Liverpool cancelled due to power failure to the catenary or signals (not sure which).

Bad winds this morning in Cornwall , trees down, driver trapped in car after tree fell on his car, building damage.....winds easing now, hold on tight it's on the way north!

Cold, strong gusty NW winds following Doris, with wintry showers. Closer to the low centre. still lot of extreme W winds with high damaging gusts for Midlands, East Anglia into the SE. Westerly winds scooting through the Bristol channel along the M4. M48 Severn Bridge: CLOSED to high-sided vehicles due to high winds.. Also, strong NE winds picking up for Tyne and Wear now
