A bit of an update, I have sacked the Fatip and gone back to my trusty Tech, I thought I would try a Treet blade in it, well it behaved better than it did in the Fatip, it's not Nacet standard but it's pretty sharp and smooth on shave one, if it's still ok on shave two I will be quite happy with them.

You are so right, they are much under appreciated, some describe them as a beginners razor to be progressed from, they are a great razor for full stop.

Because it is a very forgiving razor many think it mild & feeble. They couldn't be more wrong.

If I remember correctly they were in production for around 30 years, got to have been doing something right to be around that long.

I had my first shave with a Tech yesterday, by far the mildest shave i've ever had, but you can't argue with the results, lovely and smooth, what a great shaver.

Well done Bazz, pleased you like it.
I tried mine with a Voskhod blade, very close and smooth, as good as a Nacet on the first shave, looking forward to what the second is like.

The 2nd shave with the Voskhod was very good too, impressed with this blade, smooth and sharp but not quite as good as Nacet though.
