The General in brass

My silver head only has crossed the Atlantic, passed through London and i'm hoping its going to be delivered today.

Good for you. I've posted this elsewhere, but I'll put it here as well for good measure. Per Facebook, Colonial say they have a limited stock of silver heads only, at $29.99, and that this will be the last production of the aluminium for a while.

Mine just arrived, time to pair it with my UFO handle and take it for a test run in the morning.

And by god its brilliant. This was my last roll of the dice with SE shaving. I have an artist club folding, an artist club straight and a Hawk and the blades were all too much for me. All very sharp and efficient but too harsh for me. Bingo, the general head comes along and its the difference between night and day. So smooth and still efficient. Its a winner.

I've just finished shaving with the alu General and a used titan mild blade I had. I normally use the pro with it, but the titan mild is surprisingly efficient. I didn't have to employ as much care as the pro but it still gave me a BBs in2 and corrections. This general SE does not cease to amaze me every time I use it. I'm looking forward to my brass one still in the mail.

I finished the 6th shave with the brass General/Feather Pro combo. This is one of the smoothest if not the smoothest artist club razors I have tried. While being very smooth I have found it to be very efficient as well. Initially I was worried the smooth handle would present problems but I have not had any issues during use. I am very pleased with the razor and happy with my purchase. I do look forward to seeing the patina develop on the razor over time.

I used the brass General this morning with a Schick Proline blade (first time using these) and I can confirm these are the smoothest AC style blades you can use!! They are still nice and sharp but this was a winning combination. Even smoother than a Kai mild. I'm impressed.
Just ordered two packs on eBay £29 including postage, this is where bank Holidays are a pain, they extend the wait !!
