Supply provision revised SE razor

If it works as such in the E2 then I might have to pick one up. I've always wanted to have an E1, but they are rarer than a lawyer who hates money.
I've just had an evening shave with my E2 with a cut down Polsilver stainless and it does indeed work, it works just fine. You just need to take care when cutting the blade to get it spot on. Loads of feedback from the blade, well worth a try.

Today I used the 3 dot plate with the cut down Polsilver stainless and wow, what a shave!
I could had left it at one pass because it was a DFS situation but I want BBS so one more pass and that's it I was done. BBS with zero irritation, this cut down DE blade gave the same results a cut down Feather AC Pro blade would have and at a fraction of the price.
The shave was smooth and the finnish was great.
Please note I am not suggesting anybody try this because this razor was not designed to use Cut down DE blades :)

I have now had 20+ Shaves with the Single Edge. As a daily shaver I have a strong blade and moved quickly to use of a 3*plate. I have used various blades, the best results being with a Schick Chick, and even then a lot of hard work was required . I used it today with a Japanese Schick and could not get
a proper Shave.
I am truly disappointed with this Razor, as I can shave well with most SE/Injector razors old and new.
I have tried varying the angle of attack to no avail.I may try a cut down AC blade as a last resort.

I have not experanced the problems you have but I can say the cut down AC blade did work very well for me, I hope it works for you also.

I was very disappointed with the performance of a normally-reliable Chinese Schick in my Single Edge, but it seems to work well with Personnas, which is a surprise, as I'm not that keen on them.
Very true, the Personnas do seem to work well with the supply although it's only the supply SE that they seem to work well in for me!

Interesting. The more I see these differing experiences with Personnas, the more convinced I am that they vary substantially from batch to batch. Unlike a number of other blades, DE or SE, which are either (in my experience) consistently good, bad or average, I've found that these seem wildly variable.

I ditched the Chinese Schick, from a 3-spot setting, because it just didn't shave any whiskers off, even given 3 chances. I have some NOS Schicks, but I save those for my PAL and Schick vintage razors, so I hand-loaded a Personna and it worked well. Unfortunately I have no idea whether it was from a lot I already had, or from those sent with the Single Edge.

Perhaps I'll find my chain-mail gloves and start hacking DE blades about, like @Blademonkey the Bold. Bring on the styptic and cotton-wool tufts!

They, ( the hacked DE blades) worked very well for me, always worth a go! :)

It is too bad that is isn't working well on your beard.
I have a quite thick beard, and while I can get a good shave with most injectors, with the exception of the PAL Adjustable and the Schick E, I find them to require more work than I care for. The Supply with any blade performs more efficiently than those two razors, and with an AC blade puts it into an entirely different league. It is my favorite safety razor I have ever owned.
