What are you doing to me? Those Thater hexagonal brush handles look awesome. The prices though! One for a special birthday perhaps.

I think they do, or perhaps share same supplier. Check this page out: https://yaqibrush.en.alibaba.com/product/60678647861-215979396/professional_men_private_label_badger_hair_shaving_brush.html?spm=a2700.icbuShop.prewdfa4cf.55.17b07f92abxgb2

Time to contact Yaqi for a TSR-brush? :)

Interesting P. - I have suspected - since getting the Moka - that my Stirling two band fan was made for them by Yaqi. The hair in the knots share the same characteristics and the handle shape of the latter - Simpsons M7 type - although not supplied in butterscotch as the Stirling was - is identical to a model they currently sell. Happy to be corrected - if anybody knows better. Yours - I.

I seem to remember the Stirling boar brush being inexpensive so it stacks up and up is reasonable that YaQi did manufature it and other Stirling brushes. I wonder if Simpsons get all of their brushes made by YaQi and simply box them and brand them in the UK!! :) P. What a hoot! P.

Brush: Frank Shaving 20mm Best Badger
Soap: Phoenix and Beau Sanskrit (sample)
Razor: Gillette Super Blue (Chinese Tech), shimmed, on RazoRock bamboo SS handle
Blade: Lord Super Chrome (3)

I've been feeling like my top lip hadn't been getting enough attention whilst using the Parker, so I went for the Tech this morning. I had forgotten how much I liked it since shimming. Even with the SS handle and a total weight of a not-inconsequential 66g, it feels like something you'd get in a cereal packet after the 105g Parker.

I'm not sure if this razor just accentuates the Lord blade's deficiencies, but this morning it was definitely feeling a bit tuggy, and the shave wasn't the most pleasant. That said, there were no weepers and it left me with the best result of the week so far. That's definitely it for the edge, though.

Happy shaving!
