SOTD: Saturday 6th January - Friday 12th January 2018.

Pre: Warm water face wash
Brush: Shavemac TSR 2015
Cream: Traditional Shaving Leodis
Razor: Gillette SR Old Type
Blade: Astra SP
Post: Warm then cold water rinse, 4711 AS

After yesterday's disappointment I thought I'd renew my faith in DEs, so I fetched the ever reliable OT.
The cream was gifted to me by @Benz3ne, much appreciated Ben :) and I was very impressed indeed, a quick sniff, ah citrus 4711 will suit it nicely.
Citrus? It's a whole bloody orchard, with apple dominant.
Slickness isn't bad, cushion very good and the Old Type danced around my face like a spring chicken, not bad considering that it'll become a Centenarian at some point this year.
A great end to the week indeed.

Pre Shave: Hot Shower + Body Shop Maca Root face wash and Proraso White
Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable T2 (1973) on #7
Blade: Lord Cool (#3)
Brush: Maseto 24mm Extra Density 2 Band Finest
Soap: Haslinger Seaweed
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Humphreys Witch Hazel
AS: Nivea Soothing Balm

Second outing for my new Maseto extra density brush and the tips are feeling like those on the 30mm fan shape Maseto, I not sure what is actually meant by gel tips but that is how I would describe the feel of the tips when wet.

Stirling Syn. 26mm
MWF
Schick Canadian E2
Schick Proline ( 3 )
Alum Rub / Rinse off
Jaguar Prestige A/S lotion

This is my 3rd Shave with this E2,which provides a very smooth Shave unlike other E2s which tend to be very aggressive.
This was probably my most comfortable Shave this Week, and the best being so close all round. This E2 could well prove to be my best Injector that uses a single blade.Has definitely proved to be my Best Buy of 2017.

Wickham Club Cola
RazoRock 400
Slicke Shavette / Derby Premium 1/2 blade
Rockwell 6C plate 4 / Treet Durasharp
Lime witch hazel mixture
Lynx Dark Temptation Aftershave

A tale of two razors for tonight's shave
I had three days growth so thought I would give the Slicke Shavette that was generously gifted to me by Elias, @captain_hx some time ago a try. I had previously only used it twice, so haven't a great deal of experience with it
I paired it with a fresh Derby Premium 1/2 blade and set to after face latherIng the Club Cola
In hindsight, I should have used some pre shave but the entire pass went well without mishap
Not wanting to push my luck I decided to finish the shave with my trusty Rockwell. It paired well with the Durasharp blade which is on it's second or third use.
Another pass WTG and another ATG comfortably saw off all remaining remnants of bristly growth.
Finished with Lynx Dark Temptation Aftershave. This is seriously good stuff. I can feel it nourishing and toning my skin for a good few hours after application. The scent is very nice too. Best of all, it only cost me £2.99 from Home Bargains.

My favourite Monkees track. . . . .hope you guy's like it too. . . ?

I'm glad you like it Paul! It will give you great shaves once you get confident with your technique.

A full system shave today, great results.

Edwin Jagger DE89
The Personal Barber synthetic brush
Gillette Super Stainless (2)
Bluebeards Revenge pre shave oil
Bluebeards Revenge shaving cream
Bluebeards Revenge aftershave balm

The products work well. I had some issues with the balm I originally bought as it went to water. Contacted them and they swapped it even though I bought it from Tesco. Turns out the product was a few years old so no idea how long Tesco had it. The new version is great, only issue is it takes a little while to fully dry and stays a little tacky whilst it dries.

The cream is good. Although I would say it is a very soft soap and not a cream like the packaging says.

Hi Elias,

I hope you have better weather than in the UK !
I must admit to being a little afraid of the shavette, as the slightest sideways movement will t in bloodshed.
This was my best effort with it so far and it's given me a bit more confidence .
