Gillette Rocket (1949)
Traditional Shaving Limes Cream
Polsilver Super Iridium (#2)
Fine Stout Synthetic

It's been grey and dark all day, so fancied a bit of zing which the cream provided nicely...

...the Omega special (011829) is proving to be a good brush...very good. Not as scrubby as I expected but I am still enjoying it greatly. Break-in is simalr to the prof.102, very quick, indeed I am sure this would work straight out of the box. @Oomer. I gave it a long soak with periodic drying on a towel which worked a treat. If you enjoy Omega pro knots and especially their unbleached bristles, this I am sure, will be a winner for you...
It looks very nice, many thanks @Missoni I will be getting one soon.

I must agree with you, this is a fantastic brush, I am still soaking / drying mine and it is breaking in very nicely indeed. The bristle has been set perfectly imo, just the right size and the handle is a quality one. I can safely say this is my best boar brush for face lathering.

...it really is very well judged and the handle feels great; I am in the position now of absolutely loving several boar brushes (Mondial, Prorasso, 102, Baby Pro) including this one which makes choosing a brush in the morning a challenge. At the moment my Badgers and Synthetics do not see the light of day, and my other boar brushes (too many to be sane) have been boxed and put away...

Tuesday 9th January (am)

Birch Tar Soap and RSC Facial Scrub
Vitos Preshave cream
Blue's Goats Milk Soap
New Forest 1901 2-Band Brush
Ikon SBS with a Windrose Handle
Dorco Titan Blade
Alum Block and Rinse
Homemade Buttermix
Old Spice Noir AS

The Titans are certainly sharp....but perhaps not the smoothest blade. Three rather rushed passes (maybe the reason) for a very nice close shave.....even though there was a little bit of sting with the Alum.

Tuesday

Soap - Vitos Super Red
Brush - RazoRock Disrupter 22mm
Face lather
Razor - Schick Injector G8
Blade - Schick Injector ex-China
Post - Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
After shave - Proraso Sandalwood

I thought I'd return to the Schick blades after the Prolines. The Schicks are still good; but the Prolines have the edge, as it were, in terms of smoothness. Nonetheless, I have one in this razor and my E3 which I'll use ‘til fatigue; before returning to the Prolines.

A lovely close shave, though; and the tallowy goodness of the Vitos is outstanding; especially for the price. Finished off nicely with the great smelling Proraso Sandalwood.

I was included in a pass-around of this gorgeous piece of shaving gear, the Tatara Masamune for a week. This was my second shave with it and I got to say that it's a mean, lean, shaving machine! I still have to try the open comb latter in the week but for now this machine is giving me the closest, smoothest shave of any DE I've tried yet. The blade is completely locked in the head with almost zero wiggle space which results in a flutter free shave, with no irritation. Will update latter in the week with the open comb shave with more final thoughts about it, but for now I am thoroughly impressed. And it's Portuguese made! ;)

Pre - Shower
Brush - Muhle - Silvertip Fibre - 25mm
Soap - Meissner Tremonia - Moroccan Rhassoul
Razor - Mongoose
Blade - Schick Proline
Post - Proraso Pre & Post Cream - Eucalyptus & Menthol
AS - Suavecito - Bay Rum

I have been curious about Meissner Tremonia and I finally bought 2 soaps.
Dark Lime and Moroccan Rhassoul.
Tried Maroccan today and have to say I like it.
The scent is a variant of the Bay Rum family.
Happy Shaving

Tuesday's shave of the day :)

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap face wash, followed by Proraso (Green) Pre-shave Cream.
Razor - Colonial Razors - The General, Black.
Blade - Kai Captain Titan Mild Pink (Day ?).
Soap - Proraso (Green) Cream Shaving Soap.
Bowl - Little Wren.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2 Synthetic Badger.
Post shave - Cold Water Splash, OSP Eucalyptus and Menthol Splash.

A lovely 2 pass, DFS+/BBS- shave today. I was in a hurry this morning, and opted for the The General, Black, my gut feel was that this was the safer option.

A very enjoyable shave, must get up earlier tomorrow, so that I can enjoy a more leisurely shave, with The General SS :)

All the best,

Chris

Blade: Gem SS #2
Razor: Ever Ready 1912 Stubby Handle
Brush: Semogue 620 boar
Soap: NSS Moroccan Sands
Post: BBA Balm
EDT: 4711

A glorious 3 pass shave with the formidable razor that is the Ever Ready 1912.
It never ceases to amaze me.
The Semogue 620 is a recent acquisition from BST. Thank you @Blackmass
It is in its breaking in period and I must say my initial thoughts are very positive.
I am a big fan of NSS and the Moroccan Sands is divine. Post shave feel is sublime.
Finished with BBA Balm and a generous splash of 4711

Enjoy your shaves! :)

Beautiful picture !

Mergress (5/4/3)
Gillette Nacet
Thater 4125/2 (3 Band)
D.R. Harris Arlington
Reuzel aftershave

Second outing with the Mergress on loan from James AKA @Acer89 Thank you Sir.:notworthy:

No issues with the grip this time. Thanks to @rowlers for the tip about using an Alum block to aid with grip. It worked a treat, thank you.

Not a bad shave either. 3 passes and minimal touch ups.
I did have a little irritation on my top lip on my last shave but no sign of irritation this time.
The Nacet seemed a better match than the Gillette Platinum I used last time. A smoother shave.

Sadly missed...
