Oh, you lucky bugger! Tried to get tickets for Manchester or Liverpool, but was too late. Have a great night. I'll just have to listen to the album instead.

Prep: Hot shower with Pears soap
Pre: Proraso White preshave
Soap/Cream: TOBS Rose Cream
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Razor: Gillette Superslim Twist
Blade: Gillette Nacet (1)
Post: Cold water rinse / Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel
ASB: Nivea Sensitive

Pleasant Sunday evening shave with no significant problems. The Superslim really is very mild and I started to feel a little sensitive so I left the pickups out and didn't bother with an ASL. I definitely now believe I do better with a slightly more aggressive razor, particularly when there is only 24 hours' beard growth to remove. I have asked Santa for a Rockwell 6c and this may give me the control over the aggression I need.

Have a good week.

Cheers

Steve

My first consecutive days shave in a while. Whilst I have ended up with a DFS, the overall shave was not as comfortable as shaving ever other day, and I'm not quite BBS (well not as close as I like).

I'm definitely going to try other Wickham soaps. The Buddha Wood is excellent in providing a lovely creamy lather which gives an nice scent and great cushion and glide. It is a joy to lather up.

A few weeper emerged during my final passes and I'm happy to concede that I was becoming a bit lazy. That along with Gillette green's 4th outing had a blood withdrawal written all over it. I know that these blades can go no further than 4 shaves for me....so I knew I was sailing close to the wind.

After finishing up I was planning on following my Thayers splash with Nivea Sensitive balm, but to ensure a clean result I threw on 2 Phase first. That gave a sharp eye watering burn which confirmed I had pushed things a tad too far this time round.

Today's lesson - shave every other day, don't push it when it comes to blade longevity, no pressure on the razor, the Rockwell 6c R4 plate and Gillette Green blades are a great combination for me.....and finally, if you have a crap shave be prepared for the aftershave burn [emoji33][emoji3062]!

This wasn't a terrible shave....just not a great one.

Have a great night and week ahead folks!

After a close shave from the Piccolo yesterday, today's shave required a single pass from the Rocca. The Ladas blade in this razor feels a little rough compared to some others notably the Gillette Nacet. Creed to finish and I smell fantastic this morning.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Tony Forsyth P&C LE 2017 Platypus High Mountain White Badger
Soap: OSP Orange & Patchouli
Razor: Merkur Futur (2)
Blade: Vintage NOS Personna P74 Tungsten Steel (10)
Post: CRSW Alcohol-Free American Barbershop Moisturising Aftershave
Scent: Hermes Terre D'Hermes EdT

A glorious 3 pass shave for a BBS result - an absolute belter.
I find OSP soaps as slick as they come, and the Tony Forsyth brush was cloud-soft and created beautiful lather. Lovely post-shave feel, and I'm grinning :D.
