SOTD : Saturday 3rd February - Friday 9th February 2018.

Yes, I suppose they do get a little repetitive but there is only so much you can do with a brush, razor and soap. I must try harder :) P.

Indeed! There's a few gents on here who post some really good SOTD shots, Celestino, Number Six & Darkbulb (well, not here anymore) and many others that have inspired me to try and create something other than a diary photo... Which is fine, but a bit boring after 24 months.

Wednesday 7th February

YaqI 24mm 2 band
OSP Bay Rum
Rockwell 6C plate 5
PolSilver SI (1)
Blue Stratos aftershave

Two firsts in today's shave with thanks to @Benz3ne . PolSilver blade and OSP Bay Rum soap.
I cranked the Rockwell up to 5 to see how the blade would perform, and it turned out to be a very comfortable pairing. Not a weeper in sight and a very close shave.
I don't have any aftershaves that match the soap, so I guess I'll have to buy one now !

Blade: Polsilver SI #2
Razor: Gibbs #15 Adjustable (On Loan @Digimonkey )
Soap: Dr Jons Aphrodite
Brush: Omega Synth Barber Handle
Post: BBA PSB
EDC: Mancera Cedrat Brise

I am totally smitten with this razor and want to buy one. 2 passes is all that is required but I enjoyed it so much I had to go for a third. An effortless BBS achieved paired up with the Polsilver.
The jury is still open with regards to the brush. I love the design but I find it does have issues holding enough soap for numerous passes. In saying that there is plenty of back bone and the tips are very soft.
More suitable for bowl lathering perhaps so will try that next time.

Dr Jons soap is really slick and the prominent Black Current, following through with the Rose, Apple and Pomegranate scent is sublime.
It paired up beautifully with the Mancera.

Enjoy your shaves! :)

If the soap is a clove bay rum Paul, then Boots bay rum is cheap and cheerful.

It's a slightly limey Bay Rum. Not overly clovey. Meißner Tremonia Natural Bay Rum goes well. Extro Bay Rum is quite different but there's enough Bay. The boots stuff is great though for the price, especially if you put some menthol in there! :D good suggestion!

Boots Bay Rum it is until pay day !

Thanks guys
