Simpsons Milk Churn
Vintage Merkur
Treet Falcon (2)
Saponificio Varesino Tundra Artica
Thayers Rose & Saponificio Varesino Tundra Artica aftershave

Impressed with the Treet Falcon blade, the best Treet I have tried so far. The SV was very nice, quite enjoy this scent and I can see me ading more to my stash in the future. The Milk Churn is superb, best brush I own right now. Love the feel and looks. I can't work out if the post shave is a balm or splash, seems to be a bit of both

Wednesday's SOTD :-(

I must have spooked the shaving gods, yesterday when I said I had the perfect shave. Today's shave was sh!t.

Pre-shave - Warm shower, followed Musgo Real Classic Glycerin Oil Soap.
Razor - Supply SE v2.0 Plate (**).
Blade - Personna PTFE (Day 3).
Soap - OSP Bay Rum.
Brush - Omega 011829 - Boar.
Post shave - Cold Water Splash, followed by and Ibiza-Aloe Aloe Vera Gel.

I don't know why the shave was a bad one today, normal prep, face lather, hardware and software previously used with no issues. Had a decent amount of time, no rush - SWMBO was in her pit, so no issues of her trying to kick down the bathroom door mid shave :)

The razor/blade seemed to struggle with the lather, like it was sticky, it took more effort to glide the razor over the lather; it required more of a rinse of the razor/blade between strokes to wash away any residue/lather. The shave did not feel good from start to finish.

The end result was okay DFS+/BBS-.

Hope your shaves were better then my efforts today.

All the best,

Chris

Apart from a Rolls Razor this is the most basic head design I've ever used and like the Rolls it's quite ingenious in its simplicity.
The base plate slips out from the head, you place the blade on the base plate and slip it back in. No screw, no hinge, just pressure from the clip.
The shave although very loud was very mild, uncomfortably so, so mild in fact that after two passes I ditched it and brought in a Clog Pruf I had on standby.
Maybe I damaged the blade modifying it, but I don't think so.
I'll give it one more go, possibly less than one pass with a new blade just to be sure.

Thanks P. I've limited my SOTD posts as they were getting repetitive, when I do one now I'm taking a little extra care getting it just right :)
Yes, I suppose they do get a little repetitive but there is only so much you can do with a brush, razor and soap. I must try harder or just give up, I would hate to think my SOTD posts were getting boring and unfortunately I have not got the technical knowhow to insert backdrops ect. :) P.
