Prep....Shower ~ Olive Oil Soap
Razor....Colonial Razors ~ Brass General
Blade....Feather Profesional Super
Soap.....OSP ~ Peppermint & Rosemary
Brush....Semouge Owners Club Badger
Bowl....Little Wren Pottery
Post....BBA Post Shave Balm
Scent....Golden Sand ~ perfume oil from Mr Perfume

It was about time I bought this razor out to play, it's been a while.
I had a fantastic shave, real close and real smooth and with its wide head done in no time at all! The OSP Peppermint & Rosemary was as slick and protective as always with a wonderful scent.
Finnishing off with the BBA PSB and a little application of the Golden sand perfume oil to my pulse points and I was good to go.

Have a great weekend people.......:)

Saturday 2nd September 2017
Prep: Shower
Razor: GEM Featherweight
Blade: ER Corrux NOS (21)
Brush: Vulfix / Cashmere
Cream: Gentleman's Face Care Club
Aftershave: Simple Moisteriser
EDP: Miller Harris Le Cedre

My 21st shave with this old blade and I can say with total honesty that the continued light stroppings on Feox has left it better now than when I first unwrapped it. I have ran out of different SE razors to use it with, I do have several more but they are duplicates of what I have used or Micromatics which will not take this blade. I am now frankly bored with using the same blade and want to get back to shaving with my 'wedge blade' razors, I have written 21 on the blade in Permanent marker and will bring it out again in a month or two and continue it's use.

What have I learned?
1. The blade gives a super comfortable shave and feels very skin friendly similar in feel to a 'wedge' blade.
2. A Feox pasted strop is required to keep the blade going, plain leather is not quite enough.
3. A super light touch is necessary on the strop.
4. The blade performs better in more aggressive razors, the 1924 shovelhead giving me the best shave.
5. The blade performs (rather surprisingly) well in late model razors like the Featherweight and Contour that were
designed for the modern thinner blade.
6. The blade maintenance takes only a few seconds.

Regards
Dick.
