Last night:
Oneblade Core V2
Feather FHS-10 (#1)
YaQi Mysterious Space
OSP Bay Rum Soap & A/s

Another faultless shave with this one. It shaves so easily, even if I don't get the closest shave with it... yet.
Great scent on the OSP soap and great feeling with the aftershave splash. Cracking!

13th DE shave

Prep: Warm water rinse, BBA Face Wash then Proraso Pre Shave Cream
Soap: Proraso Sandalwood
Brush: ES Medium Jock synthetic
Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless (2)
Post: Cold rinse, Proraso aftershave balm. Next Code Red EdT.

My 2nd day with the Newbie Pass Around box so another few changes. I've liked the various Proraso products so far, so I thought I'd try an all out Proraso experience tonight.

It was a later finish this evening so I was looking forward to a bit of unwinding. And it worked!

Everything was just relaxing. The pre shave cream gave a nice tingling sensation then the scent from the soap whilst being lathered was really good. Slapped it on and went straight for a WTG then ATG followed by some touch ups. I actually thought at times I had the angle wrong as I hardly felt the blade, but it was working away.

A nice clean up with the left over lather spread all over my face. Followed with a cold rinse then the Proraso balm. No burn, just nice. BBS.

A good relaxing evening.

Have a good one folks!

Prep ~ Shower, Valbora Glicerlanolina Soap
Razor ~ Blackland Dart
Blade ~ Astra SP
Soap ~ The Noble Otter ~ The Noir Et Vanille
Brush ~ Zenith 28mm Manchuian Badger
Post ~ Thayers / Jojba Oil
Scent ~ Guerlain Jicky Purfum

Day seven with the dart proving to me at least this is an everyday razor the right blade a a gentle touch and it produced good shaves time after time.
The soap was on this occasion just perfect, it was down to me not adding enough water the last time but I got this one nailed down, it likes a drink but don't we all! Slick glossy lather to the end and a great post shave feel. The last time was my first use with The Noble Otter so room for a mistake on my part.
The new brush of mine is fantastic, soft yet firm and whit its ergonomic handle it was a joy to use.
The Astra SP proved to be a great blade for me in this razor and I found an almost perfect match.
Talking about perfect, to finnish this shave I pulled out my Guerlain Jicky Parfum, a few dabs here and there and I was done.
Looking good and smelling great......:)
Wishing you all a great day.........P.

Greetings,

August already!..this year is passing by too quickly.

Last outing with the lancet stainless, which paired up with the very efficient ming shi 2000s superbly. I've found with my growing shaving experience that a aggressive razor, pairs together with a non-aggressive blade. This was the case today, smooth efficiency.

I'm now starting to think that do the more expensive de blades perform any better than, inexpensive brands?..It's down to the individual or should i say if the blade is suited to your skin type i suppose, in a nutshell i see it has they are two types of de blades regardless of the coating and that is good or bad ones, obviously some will last and perform for longer, but that's if they are suited to your skin type.. We sometimes blame inexpensive blades for bad shaving results.."A bad worker, always puts the blame on his tools..The lancet has performed superbly, and i bought them purely because they where stainless, which my skin type get on with very nicely, along with good preparation this week this blade has rewarded me with some dfs, not bbs ones, granted but irritation free and comfortable, which is my personal aim every time i shave, adding to that it's down to good preparation & practicing your technique..this is 90% success to a good irritation dfs/bbs.

A very enjoyable 3 pass +pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Duru ~ Turkish Mandalina Cologne.
