Greetings,

A new shave set on a very cold & frosty start to the weekend.

My soap & blade choice are something i haven't used in a considerable amount of time,so today i've made it a almost wilkinson sword shaving product SOTD.

I've learn't from experimentation that the wilkinson sword soap bowl, creates a good lather with a quick bloom, and a few drops of glycerine added to the soap which provides extra slickness,as without the glycerine it tends to be lacking in slickness once you've passed the razor over the lather, also using a damp brush, rather than a wet one, once i've mixed the soap from the shaving bowl, i add a small amount of water to the tips to the brush, which gives me a good amount of lather for the shave...It works for me anyway,YMMV.

The wilkinson sword Razor/Blade duo paired together very nicely today, the last time i used a W.S. blade,it felt a little tuggy,on the first pass but today, this wasn't the case...Maybe i got a dodgy blade.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups no-irritation silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Blue Stratos~ Aftershave.

My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling devine. ;)

Enjoy the start of the weekend, ladies & gentlemen.

Prep ~ face wash, Birch tar soap
Razor ~ Feather Portable
Blade ~ Special Sheffield steel nos
Brush ~ Semouge 2000 boar
Soap ~ Vitos Green
Post ~ BBA PSB
Scent ~ Paloma Picasso

A wonderful close and comfortable shave from the little marvel that is the Feather Portable fitted out with a nos Special Sheffield Steel blade, helped along with the fragrant Vitos Green which was face lathered with my trusty Semouge 2000. Finnishing off with the indispensable BBA PSB followed by a couple of sprays of the lovely Paloma Picasso edp and good to go!

Saturday 25th November

Birch Tar Soap and Groomed Facial Scrub
Vitos Preshave Cream
P&B Imperial RumSoap
Yaqi Mysterious Space 26mm Tuxedo
Ikon SBS on a Windrose Damascus Handle
Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow Blade
Alum Block and Rinse
BBA Post Shave
Benjamins Mentholated Bay Rum

First time using the Ikon SBS which was given some heft by the Windrose handle. I have never had much interest in dual format razors...but for some reason this one intrigued me. Perhaps it was the reversible base plate . For this shave I used the less aggressive mode and got a wonderful BBS shave with 3 passes and a little touchup:)

My nearest and dearest is away for the weekend attending a British Dressage event, so tonight it will be Beer, Burgers and Strictly......or perhaps that should be strictly Beer and Burgers!

Enjoy your weekend:)
