Results? - all good.

When I started using the vintage Gillette Aussie Spoiler blade months ago - not being entirely serious - given their reputation for longevity - coupled with my fairly tardy approach to shaving regularly - I suggested it may well last until Christmas. And lo - it has come to pass. Remarkable really. Time to honourably retire it now I think - it is tugging a bit agt on the toughest parts of my beard. Maybe you could squeeze another couple of shaves out of it but I don't want to take the piss. I'll leave the remaining angel's share to the shave gods. Thanks again @TomG - for giving me the chance to try them - fear not mate - I will ensure it gets a decent burial with full honours.

Unlike most here - I suspect - I don't do Christmas - it is just another day. Technically I'm on call this week - but unless something goes drastically wrong - not much is expected to happen. It better bloody not - especially today - as I poured the 'first course' of my lunch at about 2 o'clock this afternoon. That not withstanding - it doesn't stop me hoping that you all had/are having/will have a great day - delete as appropriate to your time zone - whatever you choose to do. Yours with the best regards - I.

Oh - the vintage Gillette advert - it is probably just as well that the image is fairly low resolution - otherwise you could read the prices of the razors - some of the most sought after these days - worth a fortune - particularly if you had unused gift sets as illustrated. $5.99 for an Aristocrat? I don't want you sobbing over your laptops on Christmas day - ha ha ha.

- Game Changer .84 with DE81 handle and ASP blade
- Rockford Soul aftershave

:D

I switched the brush halfway through lathering because colour and scent of the lather reminded me a lot of the B&M Lavanille, and I didn't want to risk discolouration of the knot. Different from other T+S soaps, this one doesn't give any scent notes on the label, but a quick look on the website confirmed there's a lot of vanilla extract in it.
