Following @nick_s advice I did a heavy load using a synthetic brush and it made for a great lather, very rich and creamy. I think the brush was at fault last time, I do maintain that whilst a good soap, the newer artisans have eclipsed it. A wonderful shave with the Rocket and surprisingly the Shark blade was great, I remember my last use of a Shark left me a bit irritated so it has been a while since I used one. Lately I am using blades that I don't use often because of first impressions but I am finding them to be pleasantly surprising.
I'm glad it worked better for you this time round @nolisco :) I often find a change of brush to a synthetic drastically changes the quality of the lather where you've struggled with a natural hair brush.

Greetings All,

Prep ~ face wash with Mysore Sandelwood soap
Razor ~ Blackland sabre with level two base plate
Soap ~ Klar Sandelwood
Blade ~ Gem SS
Brush ~ Anbbas boar
Scuttle ~ Giles Shaving Co
Post ~ BBA PSB
Scent ~ Guerlain Jicky

My seventh day with the level two base plate, even though I did not really need it and only bought it out of curiosity I am more than pleased I did. It has given me extremly close shaves day after day but is still as smooth as the origanal base plate.
Today's shave was helped along with the outstanding Klar Sandelwood soap which was lathered and applied using the Anbbas boar brush, inexpensive but very well made . BBA PSB applied and a body spray of the wonderful Jicky.

Wishing you all a great day.........:) P.

Trying a Gillette Wilkinson Sword blade today, never got on with these. Had a good shave but I think it isn't as smooth or comfortable as yesterday's Shark razor blade. The Extro is superb as always, when I cast my nomination for a cream it will be Extro. The highlight of my shaving purchases has been discovering the brand.

Blade: Proline #3
Razor: feather SS Japanese style. (On loan @culcreuch )
Soap: SV Cosmo
brush: Maseto 30mm
Post: Calani Oriental plum balm.
EDT: Issey Myake

No time for a photo today but as its time to say a fond farewell to the feather and return it to its rightful owner I just wanted to say that after a considerable time practicing using this razor and a few cuts later it has been an absolute pleasure to use and is one I intend to buy in the near future.
An awesome bit of kit and thank you Brian for giving me the opportunity.

A first class BBS shave after 2 passes and a few touch ups. :)
