Tue 21st Nov

RazoRock Plissoft 24mm
Cyril Salter Solid soap
Mongoose B3
Kai Captain Mild Pink [ 3 ]
Alum rub/Rinse off
Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion

A very straight forward no drama shave with this combo, though funnily enough I feel that it could bite if mishandled. I do not use this blade a lot, but think it is good for clearing around the Chin and Jawline
provided you have a very light touch.

First shave with CF 1445,it's a firm cream and a little definitely goes a long way. The cream was churned up easily and provided a good protective/slick lather, nice scent but a bit on the mild side.

HAVE A GOOD DAY GENTLEMEN

'The Clawhammer'
Nacet (#1)
YaQi 'Space' Tuxedo
OSP Bay Rum

Disclaimer - the mark on the brush is reflected light, not damage.
The SBS head topping 'The Clawhammer', as I shall dub it herein, did the works. I set it to the more aggressive setting (cross facing outwards) and with a fresh Nacet blade got to work. I haven't used one of these blades in a little while but it instantly came back to me why I enjoy using them so much! Smooth, sharp, irritation and incident-free. Using the crackin' OSP Bay Rum I had myself a very good shave to start the day! (@nolisco)

Awesome. Next?

Looks a good shaver, how would you compare the settings to your Rockwell ? I'm going to pull the trigger on Friday, they seem to be £30 on Connaught

Yaqi Sagrada Familia
Gillette Rocket HD
Shark SS (1)
Nanny's Silly Soap Yushu
Thayers Rose, BBA Post Shave Balm & Mr Perfume Roja Amber Oud

Following @nick_s advice I did a heavy load using a synthetic brush and it made for a great lather, very rich and creamy. I think the brush was at fault last time, I do maintain that whilst a good soap, the newer artisans have eclipsed it. A wonderful shave with the Rocket and surprisingly the Shark blade was great, I remember my last use of a Shark left me a bit irritated so it has been a while since I used one. Lately I am using blades that I don't use often because of first impressions but I am finding them to be pleasantly surprising.

A different beast entirely. The £30 ones are 'seconds' if I'm not mistaken, so have some minor cosmetic blemishes from what I've heard. I'm sure you already know but it might not come with a handle so make sure you've one ready! :p I've found the 6C has a far greater margin of error, the SBS requires a bit more focus, light touch and keeping the head pretty flat to the skin.

A rip-roaring 3-pass with a Feather SS AC Kamisori style razor. I am using the Feather Professional blades as they fit this razor perfectly.
Apologies for the black squares. I had forgotten there was a mirror behind me!

Yes, noticed that when I had seconds before the cosmetic blemish is undetectable, I don't mind a scratch or two :p It's a chubby looking thing but seems a good razor from reading your reviews

First use of a modern SS DE, many thanks to Rob (@Blackmass) for the loan.
First impressions:
It's a beauty, very solid, compact and heavy. The heads a bit bulkier than vintage OCs but I've used bulkier heads without a problem.
I'm off for a shave BRB.
First shave:
Well, it's not just a pretty face, >30hrs growth gone, as Tommy Cooper liked to say, just like that, helped along by the super slickness of the Sudsy Soapery.
It's not as smooth as a couple of my vintage OCs but it was only my first go and I know it will get better.
Very impressed indeed.
