What a difference that was to yesterday's shave with a cumbersome, heavy, inefficient razor.
Light, super efficient and okay you can't whip it around your face like other injectors but it delivers the goods.
I must've took my eye off the ball because I got a tiny nick at the corner of my mouth but a very nice shave indeed.
Many thanks to Paul (@Blademonkey) for lending me this little gem.
The @BartsBalm has rounded the shave off beautifully, my skins feeling soft and smelling great.
Happy Shaving one and all.

Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Floïd Mentally Vigorous

The Fat. Sometimes you just have to. I hadn't ‘Gemmed' for a wee while. Clog-Pruf? MMOC? I opted for the latter and it's left me smoother than an eel's waistcoat. Actually, in terms of efficiency, I don't find much difference between the two: they're both excellent razors and built to last.

I'm feeling mentally vigorated after the Floïd and ready to pop up the village later on with Mrs Scotshave for a bite to eat and, perchance, a pint or two of the foaming ale.

Evening shave.

Kiehl's Face Wash
Valobra
Shavemac 2 Band Silvertip
Muhle R41 (2013)
Treet Tez (1)
Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented)
Pitralon Classic Aftershave

Another day another blade in the R41. The Tez was kindly gifted to me by Brian (@culcreuch) along with various other Tweet blades. The shave was certainly a very close one, but perhaps not the smoothest. Nevertheless, it was a thoroughly enjoyable bit of me time and I'm as smooth as smooth can be.

This evening saw 'The Teddy Bear Protection Racket'. On this particular occasion the goodies getting the heavy 'touch these if you effing well dare' treatment were.......

Seygus brass head with my DIY long brass handle (125mm)
Polsilver (Lodz)
Muhle silvertip synthetic (making yet another appearance on the shaving roster)
ADP croap
ADP Colonia Club

A nice alternative to an R89. A similar kind of feel but with a classier edge to it and a better quality of engineering and finish. A very forgiving razor.

Usual brush as I can't be bothered with any of the others. It does a job and it does it well. ADP and matching EDC as in matching handbag and shoes (ask my wife about this one).

One very wonderful shave without the life threatening appeal of last night's Ikon SB. One slight nick to the ear due to the blade protruding from the sides. More stupidity than anything but nothing the styptic pencil couldn't cure and nothing which more care and attention can't cure in the future.

A happy shave with happy results.

Soho Joe Original Face Wash
Omega Pro49
D R Harris Arlington soap
Geo. Wostenholm and Sons Pipe Razor
A little alum, and
Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion

Going to deliberately stick to two passes for the next couple of shaves. Literally no irritation when I stick to two, and a great shave was had.

Enjoy your evening all.

P.s. Yes, that's a big thumb print on the tang and some soap on the blade. Bit of a rush...

SOTD 22 Mar.jpg
Pre Shave: Hot Shower + Bulldog face wash and Noxzema Shave Cream
Razor: Feather Popular
Blade: Wilkinson Sword - England (#3)
Brush: Vulfix 404
Soap: Erasmic
Bowl: Korium
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Humphreys Witch Hazel
AS: Bulldog balm

Decided to try my Feather Popular again, this was my first DE razor. I recall getting a patchy shave and some irritation when I first started using it, probably due to loading it with a Derby Extra blades. I probably should have used the Feather blades that came with it. Paired with a sharp blade this is a nice but still mild shave.

SOTD - 22/3/18

Razor - Gillette Tech
Blade - Polsilver (2)
Brush - Omega 10066
Cream - Truefitt & Hill Sandalwood
Balm - The Real Shave Co.

A wonderful and smooth shave. Polsilver is new to me, coupled with the Tech - a great shave was had. Broke out the Omega piggy brush for the first time in nearly a year. Whipped up the Truefitt & Hill an absolute dream. In fact got my juices flowing for another boar brush.

Happy shaving.
Richard
