Prep....shower, face wash with Donkey milk soap
Razor....Cobra Classic , on loan from @culcreuch
Blade....Schick Proline P-20/30
Soap.....LEA (Tallow )
Brush.....Semouge boar 1460
Scuttle....Giles shaving Co
Post....lavender aftershave lotion (a) @neilbart
Scent....English Lavender Colonge

Back on track with another great shave from the magnificent combo that is the Cobra and the proline blade, smooth and efficant leaving me extreamly clean shaven without any irritation whatsoever.
I have found my blade of choice with this razor and will be sticking to it. I used my little Semouge 1460 boar brush for the first time and it is fab, slightly smaller than the 1305 but undyed and with 90% fine tips it was a joy to use and soon whipped the LEA Tallow soap into a wonderfully thick creamy and slick lather that was kept warm throughout the shave by the equally wonderful Giles scuttle.
I applied my first pot of aftershave balm from Neil followed with a light body spray of English lavender cologne from the Norfolk Lavender co.
A good shave is a good way to start the day.

Have a great day but let's be careful out there......:)

Alum Block./Lemon+Peppermint Oil & Witch Hazel Mixture. /Boots ~ Freshwood A/S.

Boots ~ Freshwood A/S balm.

Greetings,

When i first purchased the Muhle R41, my first few shaves where not a pleasurable experience, this razor taught me to shave the lather from my face, rather than the stubble, and add no pressure to the razor, let the weight of the razor & blade do the work... keeping this in mind, i now apply this shaving method when using any of my razors, aggressive or non aggressive and have been rewarded with some exceptionally brilliant shaves.

A superb flawless DFS with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with the wonderful Boots 'Freshwood' A/S & Balm duo.

My face is feeling ultra smooth & smelling devine.;)

Enjoy your day, ladies & gentlemen.

Greetings All,

Thursday shave.

One growth and warm shave

Preparation – face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

Pre: None
Soap: Molton Brown Soap
Razor: Rockwell 6C (3P)
Blade: Shark SS (2nd)
Brush: RazoRock 400 Noir (face lather)

Post Shave: Cold water rinse, a shower and to conclude Proraso Red Aftershave and Nivea 2 Phase.

I really like the scent / performance of the Molton Brown shaving soap, and with my Rockwell 6c (3P) / Shark SS combo, I had a wonderful shave. 3 passes and again nearly BBS.

What a good way to start the day and Monday's shave - long forgotten

Cheers,

Brian

Thursday...

Cream - Proraso M & E
Brush - RazoRock BC Silvertip
Face lather
Razor - Feather AC Kamisori
Blade - Feather Professional #3
Post - BBA Post Shave Balm
Smell - Penhaligon's Lothair EdT

Close and smooth today. A lapse in concentration resulted in a small nick in the moustache area, but aside from that all good. Definitely prefer the Professional Feathers to the Proguards.

Blade: Schick Proline
Razor: Cobra Classic (On Loan)
Brush: Maseto 26mm silvertip barber handle
Soap: TOBs Lime
Post: Lime aftershave balm "A" Tester @neilbart
EDT: none for test purposes

Well what a difference a blade makes.
Having recently read various reviews from members here I decided to select the Schick Proline blade so kindly donated to me by the Cobra owner @Digimonkey . Thank you Iain

I was bitten for the first time this evening on my first stroke. A decent cut under the ear was obtained. Two weepers to follow around the chin but I asked myself, (was it worth it?)
Answer. "Hell yes!"

I think this is the first razor I have ever tried where a blade is SO important to the shave.
An unbelievable 3 pass shave that has left my skin super smooth.
If I was to review the blades, I.E. The Feather soft Guard V Schick Proline, the Feather would be knocked out in the first round. Despite the fact that I was able to obtain a BB Shave with the Soft Guard, the amount of effort it took had no comparison what so ever to the Proline.

Brush and soap combo was a lovely experience. I used the TOB's LIme soap purely for the purpose of my trial with the balm.
Soap is great stuff and I will comment on the balm as soon as the trial is over.

Enjoy your shaves! :)

Excellent photo and great composition @Wayne Pritchard
I tried the (King) Cobra earlier this year and loved it too. The Proline's are the best AC type blades I've used so far. I find the Feather Pro's way too harsh.

Thank you for your king words Rob.
Yes I couldn't agree with you more with regards to the Prolines. I genuinely could not believe the difference that this blade made. I had to check I was using the same razor. :)
This is a razor I will definitely be buying in the near future.
Take care mate.
Wayne.
