SOTD : Saturday 15th September - Friday 21st September 2018.

Thursday 20th September

Heno de Pravia Glycerine Soap
Proraso Green Tea and Oat Pre shave Cream
OSP Barbershop Soap
Yaqi 24mm 2 Band Brush
Razorine Full DE Shavette in Brass with a Wilkinson/Gillette Blade
Alum and Rinse
Witch Hazel
Aloe Vera Gel
Williams Aqua Velva AS

I must admit....I like a bit of variation and was almost tempted to go with a GEM razor today. Yesterdays shave with the Razorine was good.....but there just wasn't the wow factor to make me want to rush back. I am so glad that I did.
Today I didn't fuss so much about how to hold the razor.....I just got on with it.
2 passes and some touch up for a really excellent shave. It is actually very good at dealing with the difficult areas on my neck......and once you get by the loading of the blade....very difficult to cut yourself with (IMHO).

I found the Ladas blade to feel a little dull in the Merkur Progress, so I tried it in a razor that makes every blade feel sharp, the MÜHLE Rocca. It did. Having had a dramatic fail with my Maseto brush a couple of days ago I chose to try again. This time I used the Marco method with a very wet brush and was rewarded with a ton of super slick lather. One pass pretty much had the job done, but a second was taken just to use some more of that glorious lather. Close shave indeed.

Date: 20 September 2018

Pre-shave:- Cold Water straight from the tap
Brush:- Semogue Special Edition 2012 Badger/Boar knot 24/55mm knot
Soap/Cream:- A&E ~ Grecian Horse
Bowl/Scuttle:- Captain's Choice
Razor/Blade:- Muhle Rocca R96 / Vintage NOS Gillette Super Stainless (spoiler) #3 end of life
Post-shave:- Thayers Witch Hazel & Tea Tree Oil / Lucky Tiger Aftershave & Face Tonic / Lucky Tiger Face Moisturizer

I'm totally shocked the vintage NOS Gillette Super Stainless (spoiler) has worn out a lot fast using the Muhle Rocca razor which doesn't make any sense to me at all, anybody owns a Muhle Rocca with Gillette Super Stainless (spoiler) what are you're thought doesn't play very well together.
