First post holiday shave. I was having such a great time on holiday I only managed to post one SOTD post. My holiday shave kit was:

Pre shave: Warm shower and Proraso green
Razor: Merkur 45C or General Alu
Blade: Polsilver Stainless or Kai Luffy
Soap: D.R. Harris Arlington stick or Wilkinson Sword Shaving cream I picked up in Mallorca (Muller)
Brush: Simpson's Chubby 2 Synthetic or Omega Boar travel brush
Post shave: Alum block, cold water splash and Thayer's Cucumber witch hazel

Wednesday 18th July (am)

Pears Glycerine Soap
Vitos pre Shave Cream
Lea Shave Stick
Omega 10029 Boar Brush
Ikon MR-SE on a Bulldog Handle with a Proline P
Witch Hazel
Aloe Vera Gel
Old Spice Original AS

A very early shave as I had a long shift in work today.
Three passes for a lovely smooth shave. 16 hrs on.....and there is only a hint of stubble!

Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
Blade: Wilkinson Sword
Soap: Palmolive
Brush: PAA Green Ray
Post: Bart's Balm Amber and Moroccan Jasmine Balm

Razor was kindly sent by @shavecraft. It is very smooth but difficult to find the correct angle. It took some time but was able figure it out, one problem was the lack of blade feel. Looks to be a great starter razor but might be quite a jump to go from it to something heavier.

Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Personna
Pre: Shower including Nivea Face Wash Sensitive
Soap: Executive Shaving Natural cream
Brush: Executive Shaving Medium Jock synthetic
Post: Nivea Post Shave Balm Sensitive

My 3rd DE shave since converting. Still on my first blade.
Just simply....wow.
Took the time to figure out my stubble growth pattern, as recommended by members.
3 passes with a final touch up and I'm BBS.
A little irritation on the lower neck line which was soothed by the Nivea balm, but It's so much more enjoyable than cartridge shaving.
The Nivea products have been lying in my bathroom cupboard for a long time, but now I actually know how to use them properly!
Thanks to everyone for the advice so far.
Now to start experimenting!

~SOTD~

Prep ~ Valbora Glicerlanolina Soap, Luke warm Shower
Razor ~ Cobra Classic
Blade ~ Proline P-30
Soap ~ OSP ~ Peppermint & Rosemary
Brush ~ Semouge 2018 LE Boar
Post ~ Thayers / Jojoba oil
Scent ~Guerlain ~ L'Heure Bleue Edp

I had not used the Cobra for around a week so I knew this was going to be most enjoyable and to add to my enjoyment I pulled out the fab OSP Peppermint & Rosemary, a wonderfully scented soap along with OSPs top performance and to complete the trinity of fantastic products I reached for the Semouge Boar brush, I could not fail to get the shave of all shaves.
I took my time, wanting the whole experience to last more that a few minutes, the soap was lathered on my face with the soft yet firm boar brush and built a lovely rich creamy lather, I worked it into my stubble for a while and then the time had come, the time to bring the Cobra to my skin.
With a soft touch I shaved north to south and along with the lather most of my stubble had gone too! I'm not suprised by the outstanding performance of this razor any more but it still brings a big smile to my face.
A couple of re-lathers from the brush and soft touch passes and I was as smooth can be, so smooth I couldn't help but to rub my skin thinking Wow this is really smooth!
After my post shave routine I indulged myself with a few sprays of Guerlain's L'Here Bleue here and there, a perfect way to finnish a perfect shave.
Ready for what the day has in store for me. :) P.

A big thank you going out to the kind person who in no small way helped me in becoming a Cobra owner..........You know who you are :) P.

Wishing all you good people a great day......P. :)

Excellent report. But turn back now! You're about to fall in to a great big rabbit hole.

Greetings,

Final shave with the personna israeli, like the voskhod t.c. last week performed absolutely superb with every shave. Equally to the voskhod t.c. & dorco prime platinum, these have been the best performing blades that i've tested so far for smoothness & longevity.

A very enjoyable 3 pass +pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of 4711 ~ a/s cologne.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling devine.

Wed 18th July

Vulfix 404
Vitos Super Red
Schick G
Schick Proline [ 2 ]
Tuff Green A/S Lotion

Today I brought out a Type G, a Razor which I rarely use preferring other others . Though it feels good in the hand I find it quite
harsh, and though I get a good finish on the upper parts of my face, work around the neck is not satisfactory.

Morning shave

Olive Oil Soap
Saponificio Varesino Manna Di Sicilia
Thater 4125/2
Rockwell 6c
Vintage Super Iridium (4)
Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented)
Nivea 2 Phase Aftershave Lotion

The blade is showing no signs of dulling after 4 shaves so far. It really is good. So smooth in combination with the Rockwell. Have a good day gents.
