I wasn't planning on shaving today but this YaQi razor head came free with a brush I bought and was delivered this morning so had to try it  the shave went well I could feel the blade a bit more than I like but I wouldn't say it was really aggressive I like it , picked this soap up in town the other day after seeing @Palmolive fox use it in his sotds its not bad and the scent is ok was worth a try finished my shave off with benjamins mentholated bay rum great stuff for a sunny day like today .......

Later Shavers :)
Thanks for the tag Anth,, glad you tried out the erasmic soap, it doesn't get top marks for it's fragrance, but it's slickness and protection for what it costs delivers a dfs with a good post shave feeling. Regards. B:)

Lea A/S Balm.

The problem with having a few Razors is losing them, the Bi has reappeared in a place it has never
been before. I was surprised that I found it to be more aggressive than the open comb C1.
However by shaving with caution I suffered no mishaps, and was rather pleased with the quality of the finished Shave.

....in my experience the prickle goes but the scritch doesn't. It's one of the reasons I like this brush so much. I only face lather - and find the Wee Scot beautifully precise in use....

I'll persevere with it Iain, I too am a face latherer and like using smaller brushes at times.
For some reason the small badger brushes are scitchier than boar or horse.
Out of the four below, the Wee Scot is the only prickly one and the Omega at the moment is my favourite, with the Vie-Long second.
I'll use the Wee Scot again today, with Haslinger.
Cheers,
Kevin.

Thursday 19th April

Carbolic Soap
Vitos Pre Shave Cream
RazoRock Plague Doctor Soap
Yaqi Tubby Type 24mm Synthetic Brush
Baili BT131 'Tech' with a Rapira SS Blade
Alum Block and Rinse
Homemade Buttermix
Murray & Lanman Kananga Water

A late shave today as I am on night shift .......and I decided to try a cold one!
I think the tradition of a shave with warm lather was the major hurdle I had to overcome......but the results were perfect!

Three passes and a touch up for a wonderful COLD BBS shave:)

Only changed the soap and the splash from yesterday's shave. After bearing Iain's (@Digimonkey) advice in mind I've decided to fast track the Wee Scot.
Today's shave with the DeHaven was a cracker and the Pashana rounded it off beautifully.
Happy Shaving one and all.

The smaller ones definitely work with the Haslinger. My Omega Mixed Midget works well. I think the ‘Wee Scot' is even smaller.

Prep:
Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Baum.be pre-shave gel
Brush: Tony Forsyth P&C LE 2017 Platypus High Mountain White Badger
Soap: Tallow + Steel Boreal
Razor: UFO Goliath / ATT SE1
Blade: Schick Proline P-30 (2)
Post: Myrsol Emulsion
Scent: Knize Forest

Fantastic pine forest scent from the Tallow and Steel soap. The manufacturer states that they only use essential oils from the Canadian boreal forest, specifically Cedarwood, Cedar Leaf, Birch, Balsam Fir, White Spruce, Black Spruce, and Monarda. Residing on the opposite side of the globe, I am not familiar with these botanicals, but boy does the soap smell great. Very natural outdoors pine forest scent; just not the pines I am used to. The lather was excellent; easy to lather and very slick and protective. Post-shave feel was also excellent. Three passes for a DFS+.
I was expecting the Knize Forest scent, being a pine-dominant fougère, to be a good match for the Boreal soap. It was better than good; almost synergistic!
