And for yesterday's evening the theme was 'mirror mirror on the wall, who is the ugliest of them all?'

20181017_071813.jpg

Me of course.

Huntsman - Colonial General - Kai Captain
Snow White - Muhle ivory synthetic
The Prince - Cella Da Barba
The dark Queen - Prada Black Carbon
Happy - L'Occitane Cade balm

The magic mirror curtosy of Premier Inn. Nothing magical about it to report back. A disappointment.

I've not really had much time recently to spill the beans and let everyone in to my private shaving adventures here on SOTD, but time has been found and happy to report in. Plus some of my recent shaves have been quite a disaster either through rushing, a bad blade or two and generally being a lazy bugger. I also blame the water to some extent even if it is a lame excuse.

For the past week I have being living in a Premier Inn down in Southampton and I really do believe the water was crap. Move back up to the North where the water is softer and it is like a breath of fresh H2O. Lame noted once again.

To those who use a General, you certainly know a good thing in life. To those who don't, you really do need to try the experience. Despite the brilliance of the Feather Pro I actually prefer the Kai as it just seems a more forgiving blade. Combined with the General and the pair make an awesome tool for removing stubble and makes for a damn fine shave while at it.

The Cella is growing on me. A bind to lather in a coffee mug but once it starts weaving its magic (which is more than the mirror acheived) and gets to grips with producing a creamy source as a base to shave with there ain't no stopping it. Okay there is of course. Stop mixing, but you get the gist. A lovely texture and a wonderful lather to do the shaving business with. Still unsure about the marzipan scent.

The brush as per usual does a great brushing job. Not exciting to look at but neither am I. Or so the mirror declined to tell me otherwise.

Three passes in the usual SE efficient quick manner and I was a very happy bunny. No nicks or weepers and altogether a great comforting shave all to be polished off with the usual Cade aftershave balm. A shave as smooth as Snow White's posterior.

A mirror never lies? They bloody well do and neither do they hold great conversations.

Tell me that isn't your idea of Snow White? Spank me spank me.
