Luyixian Jiamei Cosmetics synth. "Beautiful Elements".
    Epsilon shaving bowl.
    Ziaja Yego shaving cream.
    Schick type M2 (dial:7).
    Personna S/S PTFE coated (4).
    Hugo Boss ASB.

The brush (fell apart the day before yesterday) fixed again.
The razor has settings between too mild (for me) and too aggressive (for me).

  3. PRE - Shower - Almond oil

    SOAP - Mitchell’s Wool Fat

    BRUSH - SOC Boar

RAZOR - Gillette Fatboy (Razor Emporium)

    BLADE - Feather

POST - Alum block, Old Spice (+tiny drop almond oil)

    Great shave today!
I decided to try something different.
After I finished the last pass I massaged almond oil into my face then re lathered and let it soak in for a few minutes. I then followed my post shave routine and the result was like I didn’t shave at all!
Very smooth, no irritation. Of course MWF gives a great post shave but that little extra step only enhanced it.
Have a great day gents. Shave on!

    Wilkinson Sword (3)
D'Ardenne, Short & Bell Persia (sample)
Thayers Rose, Rockface All Weather Moisturiser & Hai Karate

First use of this sample, superb performance as expected for meit is a soapy scent, nice but I prefer Kyoto. A good shave all round.

    Brush - Yaqi
    Soap - Lea Shaving Cream
    Razor - DE89
    Blade - Gillette Wilkinson Sword
    Post - Ben's Bay Rum

First time using Lea Shave Cream, nice stuff - reminds a little of the Nivea one but without the burning sensation on my skin!

    Blade: Gem SS #2
    Razor: 1924
    Brush: Epsilon Horse Hair
    Soap: Calani Bay Rum
    Post: Thayers Witch Hazel Lavender
Scent: Captain Scurvy Black Ship Splash

My second use of the 1924 and what an efficient little mowing machine she is.
A glorious 3 pass trouble free BBS Shave.

The brush has become nicely broken in already and I must say I am really impressed with its performance. Excellent flow through and surprisingly lovely soft tips with plenty of backbone.

The soap has a lovely pungent Bay Rum hit and the lather and cushion is top dollar.

Finished with the witch hazel and a generous splash of Captain Scurvy.

    Tue 14th November.
    RazoRock Plissoft 24mm
    P & B Spitfire
    Supply SE-V1 on Plate 3
    Personna [ 3 ]
    Alum Rub/Rinse off
    Jaguar Prestige A/S lotion

A friend said persevere with this Razor, well I did and finally on the 34th got a pretty decent close all round Shave. So today it had to be the Supply again just to make sure I was in the groove.

Cannot go wrong with this soap lather wise , it certainly aided the Shave, which was smooth
as usual with The Supply. However. this time managed to maintain the cutting angle, so not only was the Shave quicker but it was nice and close all round, no dodgy patches as has been the case before. Perhaps need to work on my technique for the upper lip, where the finish could be better.

    Pre: Warm water face wash
    Brush: Vie-Long 13052 Horse
    Soap: Palmolive Stick
    Razor: Gillette Big Fellow 1920
    Blade: Polsilver SI
Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Faena Esperia AS

I purchased this razor from @Hax who was a pleasure to deal with.
The extra weight makes the Old Type even more efficient without detracting from the smoothness.
In fact, I was left smoother than Smoothy Mc Smoothface, suavely sipping a smoothie, in a smoothie bar in Smoothsville.

Brush: El Druida Red Heart Chakte Kok/African Blackwood 2 Band

Really enjoying this setup this month. It is very easy to get a near BBS or BBS shave every time.

Used the Futur clone that arrived this week. Set it to 3 for the first pass and 4 for the 3rd pass, but used the Schick for the one in between. Honestly I wasn't particularly struck by either. First use of both. Used a GSB blade which was nice

    Bulldog Face Wash
    JR168 synthetic brush
    Tabac soap
    QShave Futur clone
(And one pass with the Schick)
    Gillette Silver Blue
    A little alum, and
    Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm

Good result but less pleasant experience than using the Rocket or New. Might not last long before going away in the cupboard.

    Tabac Tuesday was tantalising.
