So, after a surprisingly disappointing weekend shave, with a puck that arrived last week, I was welcomed with a totally faultless mid week Sensor shave today. Lather Bros: Calle Ocho delivered the goods so effortlessly in all departments.. Like I said, I really couldn't fault this soap. Top Class!

A birthday shave today using my present to myself. The Ikon MR-SE is one great shaver:D It doesn't have the looks of the Cobra.....but the end result is pretty close. Once again the Natural Ireland soap gave a great performance resulting in a BBS shave with 2 passes and a touchup.

Today I ruled out the soap and bowl from being at fault on Monday, great lather and a good shave barring user error on my Adams apple. I think I am now back to favouring my natural hair brushes (waiting on a Yaqi, sold Razorock 400) and this horse hair brush has never let me down yet. I don't know where I stand on Astra's yet, people seem to quite like them but they are ok to me, nothing overly impressive. ​

Pre: Warm water face wash
Brush: Omega 11137 Boar
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood
Razor: Blackland Sabre
Blade: Gem Blue Star
Post: Warm then cold water rinse, TOBS Sandalwood AS

A very smooth shave from the Sabre, it feels good in the hand and manoeuvres nicely, although a few pick-ups were required, I really like this gem of a razor.
