Finally seem to have the hang of that Yaqui DOC! Compared to my first go with it when I shoved it round my face like it was a Mach 3!!! (What was I thinking!).

Now I've got the hang of it I quite like it. The weight and balance from the Charcoal Goods Handle is fantastic!l, I can't wait to finish that razor off with the right head.

I didn't end up using the Tabac in the end, went for Witch Hazel/Rose/Aloe Vera instead.

Initially I quite like a mild razor, recently I'm finding I'm starting to “gear up” my preference in aggression. Is that something others find happen as they get better with shaving?

Although my least favourite of the Micromatics the Flying Wing would make a nice addition to anyone's rotation and for someone looking to try the Micromatics it would be an ideal introduction imo.
For less than three quid the Boots balm is a bargain of the highest order.
Happy Shaving one and all.

Blade: Schick Proline
Razor: PAL Adjustable
Brush: MS Silvertip
Soap: Stirling MITA
Post: BBA PSB
EDC: D R Harris Arlington

The scent of the Soap is amazing along with its performance as you would expect from Stirling.

The PAL razor set to R (+Aggressive) never fails to give me a BBS result after 2 passes with a little touch up.

Enjoy the week ahead and your shaves gentlemen. :)

Prep ~ Shower, Valobra Glycerlanolina Soap
Razor ~ Hone Type 15
Blade ~ Kai Stainless
Soap ~ Valobra Fougere
Brush ~ Progress Vulfix 404 Grosvenor
Post ~ Myrsol Blue Aftershave
Scent ~ Chanel Allure Homme

A lovely shave with the Hone 15 paired with a Kai blade, a perfect match. The Valobra shave soap was as outstanding as the Valobra Glycerlanolina soap I used as part of my prep, money well spent.
The Vulfix mixed bristle / hair brush is a great little workhorse and performs faultlessly and is perfectly at home with any soap.
Clean shaven and looking good, all that was needed was a spray or two of Chanel Allure to finnish the job.

Wishing you all a good day. P.

Soap: Cella
Brush: Erasmic synthetic
Razor: Muhle R89
Blade: Sputnik (1)

trying not to change too many variables at once, so I stick with the Cella. The Erasmic brush, though less attractively shaped that the Body Shop number holds a massive amount of lather (or maybe I'm just getting the hang of things).

However, R89 + new Sputnik blade + my lumpy face = cut. I'll be a little less gung-ho tomorrow (and will try a new soap).
