Soap - Palmolive Aloe Vera Cream
Brush - Yaqi Plissoft
Razor - Yaqi OC
Blade - 7O Green
Post - Ben's Bay Rum/Nivea Balm

The performance of the Aloe Vera cream is superb but it seems once again a soap/cream provides a degree of mid and post shave irritation. I'm coming to appreciate my skin seems to react unfavourably with a lot of products.

Me and Tallow shaving soaps/creams don't work usually but I have discovered why, If I use an aggressive razor with Tallow my face gets blotchy, but if i use a mild razor everything is good, Live and Learn ;)

Vitos Red
RazoRock Plissoft 24mm
Face lather
Ever Ready 1912 Streamline
Gem SS PTFE
Thayer's Cucumber and Aloe Vera
Speick after shave

A lovely relaxing shave this morning. The Streamline is easily the most efficient (or, for those that prefer the term, ‘aggressive') razor in my collection. So, the lightest of touches is necessary. This is one where the only degree of pressure needed is that to control the razor; the heft and weight of the Streamline does all the work.

3 passes and no pick-ups/buffing required . The tallowy Vitos provided the perfect balance of cushion (really needed), protection and glide; and the Speick enhanced the tremendous post-shave feel.

Simpsons Milk Churn
Schick Repeating Razor
Schick Proline B-20 (2)
Cyril R Salter Tallow Shaving Soap
Thayers Rose, Nivea Balm & Alvarez Gomez Agua de Colonia Concentada

A better shave with the Schick, I always find it harder to find the handle with my injectors, I preferred todays shave with it. This soap is very nice, up until planting French lavender in the garden last year I hated the smell of it but now I love it. Don't really have anything lavender to go with the soap so used the Alvarez Gomez, I may look into trying some of that new Barts Balm, or find something else to go with it.

Your razor has come up a treat, very nice indeed.

I have been lucky to have use of this Razor on a pass around. It has been handcrafted by a SE Shaving enthusiast [ Tom White] who has the skills to make such Razors for fun. I was lucky enough to try out his previous creation The " Bunny" which used Injector blades.

As it is adjustable I selected a middle setting for my first Shave. It feels good in the hand, and was very easy to assume the right cutting angle. From the off it was clear that it was efficient as my tough growth quickly disappeared, but also smooth at the same time. The Razor was very manoeuvrable but I resisted the temptation to rush the Shave, as this is when mishaps occur.

The quality of finish for a first time Shave is superb all round, and rather puts to shame the Shaves that I have had with the modern SE/ Gem Razors that I have tried. Shame that the razor has got to go back to Tom, who has produced a couple of these as a fun thing.

This razor always make me wonder if Gem and Ever-Ready razors were assembled in the same factories, or more likely Gem needed some heads to meet a production run so bought some from ER.
Anyway, as a shaver it's a tad mild for me but I enjoy using it every now and then.
The Tabac soap and splash? I could just about cope with using that every day.
Happy Shaving one and all.
