I think this might have been the first time I've used Tabac soap with the SS. If so, it won't be the last. A tremendous shave ensued. 3 passes, no irritation, no nicks. A slight touch up at the end, and I'm smooth as a smooth thing. I never tire of stating that Tabac is by far and away the best mass produced tallow soap in terms of performance and fragrance; for me, anyways.

Another soap sample, another face lather. There seems to be less lather than with the Nanny's yesterday, but I think I put less soap on my face in the first place, and what there is seems very slick. I would never have picked this soap based on the description, but it smells fantastic.

My initial plan on receiving the Newbie box was to use the R89 until today, then move onto the Futur clone, but I'm just getting the hang of it. I don't want to give it up yet!

All in all, a lovely shave.

Swap your brush to a synthetic pronto, this particular brush tend to keep the lather and not give it out.

My recommendation will be to pick something from Yaqi or Razorock.
