Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend..i've been going through my shaving den and picked out items that i haven't used for a while in my SOTD set ups.

Both the Bali BD191 razor & the APShaving Co. Cashmere Synthetic Brush are christmas gifts from last year, the razor a gift to myself & the brush from my siblings, today the cashmere synthetic brush whipped up a excellent lather in no time, it's one of the softest feeling brushes i have in my shaving den, but still has plenty of backbone, ideal for face or bowl lathering.

The Bali razor paired up with the super-max SP blade very nicely making this non-aggressive, but efficient razor a pleasurable experience to shave with resulting in a DFS with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a gengerous splash of Herbs Of Bulgaria ~ Lavender A/S and a few liberal squirts of G.B. grey flannel edt to the chest & pulse points.

My face is feeling very refreshed, super smooth & smelling devine.;)

Enjoy the start of the weekend, ladies & gentlemen.

Pre: Mickey Lee Soapworks Lime Pre Shave Butter
Razor: Rockwell 6C
Blade: Personna Platinum Chrome
Brush: Stirling Synthetic 24mm
Soap: Mickey Lee Soapworks Grand Havana
Post: Lucky Tiger Aftershave

10 days in my personal One Razor Month challenge. Feeling an itch to grab something else. On the other hand I feel I can't do a mistake with the Rockwell. I perfected it :)

The soap gives a glorious lather with lots of cushion and slickness. Plus it's fairly easy to create the lather. Love the scent of the cuban cigar.

Didn't know what to use as a post shave, nothing in my den matches the scent so I picked the mild citrusy Lucky Tiger which evaporates rather quickly. Good choice.

Have a good weekend gents!

I LOVE THIS J2 ADJUSTABLE !! It's so smooth you wonder if you've forgot to put the blade in.
First time using a “Barts Balm” product and it's very different to any aftershave lotion I've used. It has a lovely scent, this one is the Amber and Moroccan Jasmine. It has the consistency of a pre shave oil which I wasn't sure about but doesn't leave the skin greasy. It absorbs into the skin giving you a soft nourished feel to the skin. The scent sticks around too and at £5.99 it's well worth a try.
The yaqi brush is fantastic.

I really wanted to try this razor and the >70 year old blade looked in good nick, so with a few shakes on each side of the blade, I decided to go for it.
It's quite a mild shaver but that may be due to the blade having been wore down on the shake-sharp mechanism over the decades.
The twin bladed I1 didn't have much work to do on the second pass and the shave was nicely finished off with the very old school masculine scent of Pashana - it is a grower.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Saturday

Phoenix and Beau Spitfire
RazoRock BC Silvertip 24mm synth.
Face lather
PAL Injectomatic Golden
Schick Proline B
Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Alt-Innsbruck EdC

I was all set for an SOTD using Santa Maria Novella Tobaca Toscana soap this morning. But divine intervention brought a mail order - my P&B Spitfire.

For me, the soap performed beautifully. Great rich, protective lather and a scent that shares the base (to my nose, anyway) of Baskerville and Whitechapel; but with that nice juniper scent coming through. Like my other excellent tallow soaps, it gives a lovely post shave feel.

I find that Alt-Innsbruck's tobacco flower notes really work well with soaps such as this, and the aforementioned SMV. I guess it would go well with Razorock's Santa Maria Del Fiore as well. I'll save that for a Spring purchase. As it is I have more than enough soaps to last me (ahem).

So, a brilliant shave; after yesterday's so-so one with the VC3 and FHS-10 pairing. The PAL feels amazing, handles well and gives a great finish. Injectors - they really deliver!!

Positively balmy in London today. Well, 14 degrees is promised. Unfortunately though, no sunshine. But that was provided by today's software. Have a great weekend gents.
