Omega 011829
Gillette Tech
Shark Super Chrome (2)
Monsavon Bol a Raser
Thayers Rose, Myrsol Emulsion & Myrsol Blue

As luck would have it, the brush came just before I was about to shave. Straight from the box I used it, a nice brush but obviously needs to be broken in. First two passes were perfect but the hungry pig ate the lather for the third pass. Nice weight to it and ideal loft for face lathering. I think I will be in the agreement with @Blademonkey in a few uses, this will supplant the 10098 as my favourite boar.

Superb shave with the Shark & Tech, the better of the two Shark blades in my opinion.

Razor: GEM G-Bar
Blade: Personna SS
Brush: Saponificio Varesino V2.0
Soap: Martin De Candre Fougère
Post: Pitralon Classic aftershave
EDP: Guerlain L'Instant de Guerlain Pour Homme Eau Extreme

Great shave this morning. I very rarely shave in the morning since moving from cartridge razors. I just don't have the time if I have to get to work.

Took the day off to have a demo of some turntables, which was very successful. Looks like I'll be selling my LP12SE for a Well Tempered Versalex.:D

Just got home and chilling with my dawg.

As always a wonderful set up Rob but your dog has stolen the show on your SOTD this time I'm afraid mate.

Absolutely gorgeous. :)

On another note I have a pair of Technique 1210's that I enjoy from time to time. You cant beat a bit of Vinyl I'm my opinion.

Blade: Astra SP #2
Razor: Gibbs No15 Adjustable (on Loan @Digimonkey)
Brush: Sterling Boar
Soap: The Sudsey Soapery Double Mint
Post: Thayers Witch Hazel
EDT: Silver

Another cracking shave with the Gibbs set at #4. 2 passes and a silky smooth result.
At the moment it is a close run thing between the Astra and the Polsilver for my blade choice with this razor.

The Sterling Boar is breaking in nicely and paired perfectly with the Sudsey Soap.

The soap is extremely slick and up there with tallow soaps.
The scent is strong but dissipates throughout the shave.

Finished with the Witch Hazel and a generous helping of Silver.

Enjoy your shaves! :)

Ever Ready " Streamline "
Gem Coated S/S [ 1 ]
Tuff Green A/S Lotion

After Two weeks of Injectors/ Modern S/S Ac/SEs, just had to go Vintage and use a Gem Blade. I chose my favourite SE a "Streamline", which is regarded as quite harsh/aggressive and known to treat lack of care with a bite or two. I find that it shears through my tough beard with ease, and I had no trouble in getting an ultra close finish. Probably one of my best over the last two weeks.

To get its performance into perspective I must compare it to modern S/S Gem Razors that I have tried. A loaner Sabre L1 was far too mild, and it took forever to get a moderate Shave. The ATT SE G1 was worse and I gave up trying to get a Shave with it as it was far too mild. I spoke to Stan at ATT and he suggested a shim, and then it worked OK. This is not good for a modern Razor, so in future will stick with Vintage SEs that I know work for me.
