Despite being a synth convert, I do like to use my boars occasionally and this is my favourite, I think. So, a smashing shave with the Gillette Old and the Nacet combo. The Old is a great razor; very efficient and it seems to me I can see where Fa Tip took their inspiration from.

The mention of the De Vergulde Hand in an earlier post decided my soap for today's shave and once again it produced a very nice, fuss free lather. Have a good week chaps.

Soap: Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica 4.3
Razor: Timeless 0,95 mm SS OC on Stork Spiral TI
Blade: Kai Stainless
Post: Alum Rub
AS: Myrsol Masaje Antesol

Prep: Hot shower and L'Oreal Charcoal face wash
Razor: ATT S2
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Brush: Zenith Manchurian
Soap: Portus Cale
Post: Pitralon Classic aftershave

First use of the Portus Cale soap. A number of members had spoken highly of it and it didn't disappoint.
Superb performing soap, easy to create a thick lather with plenty of slickness.
There are only two things I would change. I would increase the diameter of the tub so it's easier to load your brush. Although I liked the scent I would have liked it to be stronger.

Lovely three pass shave with a few buffs for a BBS result. My bathroom is engulfed in a cloud of spicy violets.
The Tabula Rasa soaps have wonderful scents, and allow very close blade contact for a correspondingly close shave. Its secret weapon is the post shave feel - I am yet to experience a soap that betters it in this regard. If they could just dial up the residual slickness, it would be close to unbeatable.
