Shave Of The Day Saturday 8th -Friday 14th July

Vegetal Soap - Lilly of the Valey
Saponeria Artigiana - Almond Shaving Soap
Omega - 10098 Boar
Facelathering
Merkur - 37C
Ladas (1)
WTG / ATG
Allume Di Rocca Naturale
Pitralon - Pure After Shave

Today I gave the Ladas blade a try in my Merkur 37C but it is not sharp as the Feather blade. WTG cuts the stubbles a bit rough at first use. Left a few litte irritations on the edges of my neck beard areas. Maybe just my over sensitive skin. The Feather and the Voskhod didn´t do that. But again I have a true BBS shave in two passes. The Pitralon Pure after shave was a great buy. It smells pretty close to the Swiss Pitralon (you like it or you hate it). Maybe a touch more flowery which I like but the care property of that aftershave is just awesome.
That Thursday morning shave was accompanied by some music of German singer Hildegard Knef († Feb. 01. 2002 in Berlin).

Thursday's shave :)

Pre-shave - Warm shower and Wright's Coal Tar Soap.
Razor - Muhle Rocca R96.
Blade - Gillette Silver Blue (day 3).
Soap - OSP Sicilian Lemon Grove Shaving Cream.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2 - Best Badger.
Post shave - Myrsol Agua de Limon After Shave Lotion, followed by Ibiza Aloe Aloe Vera Cream.

A very nice, enjoyable 3 pass shave with no issues. This was the first time I have used the OSP Lemon Cream with soft water, I had previously used on holiday, where the water was hard/high minerals content. Great lather, glide and protection. A little certainly went a long way.

All the best,

Chris

Sotd - Thursday 13/7 - when life gives you lemons have a citrus shave -

Razor - Merkur 37c
Blade - Gillette Silver Blue (3)
Brush - Maseto silvertip
Soap - OSP Sicilian Lemon cream
Post - Witch hazel
A/S - Myrsol Agua de Limon
Balm - Alvarez y Gomez Barberia moisturiser
Scent - Musgo Real No.1 Orange and Amber cologne.

Result - great, I'm smoother than an otter that hasn't slept since Tuesday but has had a really good shave. Insomnia is as insomnia will be. At least I won't be late for work as usual. I think I probably smeared too much of the cream into the knot - it looked like there had been a foam party in the bathroom. Top end, irritation free, I smell nice and feel like s**t. A Pyrrhic victory I think. Have a good day all - I.

A lemon shave for me also today :) Hope you get a good sleep soon. A friend recommended an Epsom salt bath before bed - the magnesium sulphate relaxes the muscles and promotes sleep. I appreciate that YMMV, it worked for me when I had to try it.

All the best,

Chris

Omega S11018
Rockwell 2C
Treet Durasharp (2)
Meissner Tremnia Wild Oranges Shaving Paste
Boots Tea Tree WH & 4711 aftershave and cologne

Great shave, scratched my itch for a Rockwell. I regret selling my 6S but this a good option, especially since I only used the 1 and 3 setting. I think this would be an excellent recommendation for a starter razor. Paste was wonderful, hard to pair with a fragrance so used a classic.

Prep: Cold Water
Brush: EJ Medium BB
Soap: Figaro Almond
Razor: General Brass
Blade: Pro-Super
Afters: Pinaud Clubman

First time using this blade and it felt more efficient rather than more aggressive than the super, then I used the alum block...
...quite a bit of sting on the top lip and chin.

So what's your verdict is it the pro that you will use or the pro super?

Wash/ Nivea Men Active
BBA Pre Shave Oil
RazoRock 400 Plissoft Noir
Wickhams Russian Leather
Rockwell 6c ~ 3
Gillette Silver Blue (2)
Peppermint witch hazel mixture
Proraso Green ASL
Al Rehab Lord

An unhurried and relaxing shave this afternoon.
I used a few drops of BBA oil, and it makes a subtle difference helping the blade to glide with ease.
With, across and against, except on the neck, which I went with and diagonally which worked very well to give almost BBS.
Rockwell on plate 3 on two days growth with a Silver Blue blade felt very comfortable.
No nicks, cuts, weepers or irritation encountered.
This is the only razor I feel comfortable going ATG above my top lip with, it's that smooth.
Russian Leather soap produced a fabulous glossy and peaky lather very easily, I really like this Wickhams soap, I'm eager to use the other two I've got coming.
