That was a Excellent shave real Close one of the closest shaves iv had especially on my cheeks and neck Had the Razor set on Plate Side 3 and that's Perfect for me not to aggressive or it didn't feel aggressive it mowed through 4 days growth like there wasn't any hair there the ladas blade worked good in this razor , my maseto lathered the tobs aloe vera cream on my face with ease and felt great feels better each time I use it , the cream is lovely has a fresh clean smell but not to overpowering like some of the other tobs creams I have I like it , no aftershave splash this morning went with proraso blue balm I really like this stuff wish the proraso blue cream smelt the same ....

Blade - Gillette Silver Blue (3)
Brush - Maseto silvertip
Soap - OSP Sicilian Lemon cream
Post - Witch hazel
A/S - Myrsol Agua de Limon
Balm - Alvarez y Gomez Barberia moisturiser
Scent - Musgo Real No.1 Orange and Amber cologne.

Result - great, I'm smoother than an otter that hasn't slept since Tuesday but has had a really good shave. Insomnia is as insomnia will be. At least I won't be late for work as usual. I think I probably smeared too much of the cream into the knot - it looked like there had been a foam party in the bathroom. Top end, irritation free, I smell nice and feel like s**t. A Pyrrhic victory I think. Have a good day all - I.

The Star has been giving me some fantastic shaves with the blade reaching its seventh trip out and no discernible drop in performance. I dont normally push blades to the end.....but I have become curious!
Three pass BBS shave. Just need a coffee while I admire the Welsh Countryside on a beautiful day!

Prep: Warm shower:/Cussons Imperial Leather: Peppermint & Eucalyptus Shower Gel .

Pre:

warm wet flannel to my face.

Wilkinsons Fruits~Coconut & Vanilla Body Butter.

Brush:Semogue 1305.

Bowl Lather.

Soap : Tabac Original.

Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword~ Saloon Pack.(2)

Razor: Muhle R89.

Warm wet flannel/ cold wet flannel to rinse my face.

Post:

Peppermint Oil & Witch Hazel Mixture/Tabac ~ Original Aftershave.

Aloe Vera Gel.

My shaving set up for today was absolutely phenomenal.every now and then i get what i consider a perfect shave, today was one of those days...

When ever i shave my intention is to achieve a DFS, i've never been obsessive or to be on a mission to get a BBS everytime i shave, that would take the relaxation that i get from wet shaving and make it somewhat mundane, and give myself unnecessary irritation..which would be stupid.

My shave today was flawless,on a scale of 1 to 10, my shave today was 10+!..superbly smooth and error free...what more could i ask for.;)


My pre-shave,The R89/Gillette W.S.Saloon pack blade & Tabac Soap /Splash & Aloe Vera gel, all worked so well together.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling ' classically german fragranced old school' devine.

I can smell the citrus from here! I sympathise Iain. I know how draining insomnia can be.

What a difference a blade makes to this Razor. Previously though it was smooth in operation, I just could not get a close finish even on plate 3, and I used a variety of blades current and NOS to no avail.

With the Proline Still very smooth, but a nice blade feel which allows you to locate and eradicate stubbly areas when completing polishing up work. Extremely forgiving with no mishaps or post shave irritation
makes it a contender as a Daily Shaver for those who like that idea.
