Olive Oil Soap
3P Preshave cream
Erasmic Shaving Cream
RR Barber Brush
Ever-Ready (GB) 1912 with a GEM SS (#5)
Alum Block and Rinse
Lacura Duo-Lift Moisturiser
Molecule 01 Super ISO E

Haven't used the Erasmic for ages. I do enjoy the scent. The Ever-Ready was shimmed. 3 pass BBS shave. Don't know why I went the third pass as there wasn't a lot to shave after yesterday!

First shave with the supply SE, 2nd non cart shave.

Prep: cold water
Razor: Supply SE
Brush: Simpsons chubby
Cream: Truefitt and Hill No10
Post: Origins firefighter

Quite telling I reached for the No10 today for a shave I wanted max protection for.

Although I found the shave a little meh, 3 passes which didn't feel like they were doing much although it has done something. My neck is quite rough with spots and a weeper along the base of my neck. Feel quite uncomfortable now which I imagine is going to increase as the day goes on.

Prep: Shower
Razor: Star 1912
Blade: ER Corrux NOS (9)
Brush: EverShave Angel Synthetic
Soap: Tabac Stick
Aftershave: Astral Cream (soft)
EDP: Miller Harris Tuberosa

Probably my best shave so far with this blade: 20 laps on Hessian and 20 on Horse have left a super comfortable edge. I do not claim this to be the ultimate blade treatment but it seemed to work; having said that, so have many other stropping methods! I am really enjoying using this blade as it shaves as well as you prepare it and any less than good shaves cannot be blamed on the blade.

My first shave with this new brush from the Etsy seller EverShave it is a really nice knot more flexible than the similar fan shaped black and white knot I also purchased, so for my tastes I like it better. Is it better than the Cashmere knot? I am unsure, the difference is so small it is hard to choose; does it beat my favourite knot the L'Occitane Plisson knot? for me, no.

Regards
Dick.

Good morning Dick, is the hessian a close weave like a canvas ? I'm pleased to see you getting the best out of the blade.
Thank you, Paul.

Vie Long 13061b
Gibbs No 16
Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Mitchells Wool Fat
Boots Tea Tree WH & Floid Mentolado Vigoroso

Trying a Silver Blue in the Gibbs, a nice enough shave but never really liked or enjoyed these blades which is a shame as everyone seems to think they are top. The brush is breaking in very nicely, lathers not 100% but getting there. Don't notice much difference between the +/- sides of the razor.

Good Morning Paul

My Hessian strop is the back strop on my Neil Miller 3" Latigo strop and it is a very fine weave, really tight. There is some here on e-bay which has a more open weave but might be ok, if it's not you won't have lost much.

I do have several strops that I have made for my wedge blades backed with this old parachute harness and I can vouch that it works really well and takes paste just fine should you choose to use it, it is also the perfect width for 'wedge' blades. As for the main strop I have used this Horween Chromexcel which I cannot recommend highly enough, it is available in 45mm so it's ideal.
