Sentimental

I had been using a 1940s flat bottom English Tech but have recently bought a Fatip Grande.
I was going to sell the Tech but just couldn't do it.
The Tech is 70+ years old and in mint condition, it's not as efficient as the Fatip but it's smoother with less irritation.

So today I am selling the Fatip and will enjoy the Tech for the wonderful razor it is.
I chose history over out and out efficiency, getting soft in my old age

I think you took the right choice ,the fb Tech is an excellent razor, besides you can get a Fatip whenever you want to.

It's actually nice to keep going with a minimalistic point of view - i'm going mental with alla the stuff i have amassed .

I think mental is the correct word, will stay with the Tech, it does the job.

No, I think you was correct with sentimental and there is nothing wrong with that, why sell a razor with some age and history for something new that won't be better, now that would be mental! P.

I must admit owning a 70 year old razor in perfect condition is as you say nicer than buying new year.

Very true, I used the Tech tonight with a new Treet black blade, excellent close shave, no irritation or drama.
