L'Instant de Guerlain EDT, a.k.a. 'LIDG'.

Soft, sweet lemon with cacao, patchouli and sandalwood. Very subtle fragrance shortly after applying with no immediate signs of 'amping up'. I'm getting a plasticine/blu-tack smell close-up but lovely lemony wafts from a bit more distance. 'Tis nice, but I think I need another airing with it.

Last night: Dua - Bois Precieux et Epices (sample). Purporting to be Creed's 'Spice and Wood'. I've not tried the original but this copy is divine. Sharp citrus atop abundant spice and bedding on wood. A very masculine affair. Will be looking to procure some in the not-too-distant future.

Today: Dua - Zeus' Elixir (sample). Purporting to be Xerjoff Kobe. This is a far more floral affair than last night's trial, with orange blossom and neroli absolutely evident. It's round and sweet, but sharp enough with some citrus accord poking through. It is reminiscent of 4711 and Wickham's Citrus Musk at the fore, but less piercing than either. Looking forward to how this dries down but, as of right now, perhaps not one I'll look to buy.
