Thursday's shave

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Coal Tar Soap.
Razor - Hone 15a
Blade - Astra (SP) Green (day 3).
Soap - Cella Crema da Barba AllÂ’Olio Di Mandorla.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2 - Best Badger
Post shave - Myrsol "Metilsol" Astringent After Shave, followed by l'Occtane Cedrat After Shave Cream Gel.

Was in a rush this morning, only time for 2 passed with the 15a. I usually need 3 with this razor. Still an excellent shave. Not used Cella for a few weeks, it always performs well and smells great. Again, shaved with no pre-shave oil. Might try that for a while. The soap/cream streight to the skin seems to work better in terms of razor glide.

Pre: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: P&C LE Platypus 2017
Soap: Tabula Rasa Steampunk
Razor: ATT Kronos M2
Blade: Vintage Schick Plus Platinum (4)
Post: Myrsol Emulsion
EDT: Tabula Rasa Steampunk Viola

Tabula Rasa is up there amongst my favourite non-tallow soaps. Uniquely soft croap, scents are mentally good, and the post shave feel is the equal of any soap I have tried, including the Tallow heavy hitters.

It's Achilles heel is a lack of residual slickness, but nevertheless an excellent soap on balance.
I have given up trying to describe Erik Kormann's Steampunk Viola. Suffice to say that I find it unique and fantastic.

Prep: Hot shower and L'Oreal Charcoal face wash
Pre: King of shaves pre shave oil
Razor: Timeless 0.68 OC with ikon hand
Razor blade: Gillette 7 o' clock
Brush: Elite Razors
Bowl: Little Wren Pottery
Soap: Truefitt & Hill 1805
Post: Thayers witch hazel and Myrsol Emulsion

I'm sure it hasn't gone noticed I've been desperate to try the Timeless razor.
Well the day has finally arrived thanks to @Lann AKA Paul/ AKA 'The Don'. Thanks Paul you are a star!

@Looney12345
OK so what was the verdict? I really like it. It's early days but it was smooth and there was enough blade feel for me but I would like it to be a little more efficient. Luckily Paul sent me the 0.95 OC base plate too so I'll see how I get on with it over the weekend.

Also thanks to @Bizzyberry for sending a very generous sample of T&H soap. It worked well but I prefer the Grafton cream for the scent and performance.

The Elite Razors brush is coming along nicely. When dry the tips are very crunchy and starting to hook. When wet it's lovely and soft.

Cheers
Rob

Laffin.:DYeah I know right. It's early days but I'll see how the 0.95 base plate works out.
I'll be using a different handle though, didn't like the ikon. My top lip is feeling little tingly so it could be the soap?

Pre Shave: Hot Shower, L'Oreal Hydra Power Face Wash and Proraso Red
Razor: iKon 101
Blade: Lord Super Chrome (#1)
Brush: Plisson Pure Badger
Cream: La Toja Classic
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Humphreys witch hazel
AS: Nivea Originals Balm

First shave with a Lord Super Chrome blade, very impressed. A very smooth shave, it almost felt like there was no blade in the razor, after a normal 3 pass shave for me it gave a very nice result.

I was left pretty sore and definitely tingly after all of my Timeless shaves. I wanted to love it. I just didn't get on with it. A number of people don't seem to. You might not get it with the .68 but I'll be interested to see if your face feels really right after using the .95!

Razor: Schick G
Blade: Schick (2)
Brush: Shavemac ATG LE The Rowl Silvertip
Soap: Route 66 Perfect Storm
Aftershave: Folsom & Co. Shambala
Bowl: Symmetrical Starry Night Dottie Bowl

Another good shave with this combination of products. Much better performance from The Rowl tonight. Symmetrical bowl takes a little getting used to, but I'm getting a good lather from this shave bowl.
