Prep....Shower, olive oil soap
Razor....Schick E2
Blade....Schick Proline B-20
Soap....Mitchell's wool fat
Brush....Blademonkey Boar
Post....BBA post shave balm
Scent....Oud Isphahan EDP

I whipped up a fabulous lather in my newly aquired Little wren bowl with the Blademonkey boar, the MWF produced a rich thick creamy lather in no time at all, my Trusty E2 now fitted out with a B-20 blade made short work of my stubble, it was sharp and very smooth in the E2, a little smoother than a Chick blade I think. I was as smooth I require and my standards for smoothness are high ! BBA post shave balm....it's so good, it really is . My skin is looking and feeling great.
I used an EDP I have not used since the winter , Oud Isphahan , warm and spicy recomended to me a long time back by @wayne mattison, the first in a long line of enabelers I've come across since! It's great stuff though so thank you Wayne :)

Wishing you all a fab Thursday.......:)
...Brush looks great...+1 on the Oud Isphahan...

Thur 29th June

Vulfix 404 mixed
Vitos Red Croap
ES Claymore V1
Feather Pro [ 2 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse off
Tuff Green A/S

Good shave of yesterday with Supply Single Edge, surpassed by that of Today. With the Feather Pro
being so much smoother on its second use, the shave was not only smooth but so easy too, with a finish second to none. Really appreciate how well this cheap soap helps a shave go well.

Brush: J&T® black walnut / APShaveCo synthetic STF 26 mm.

Razor: No brand.

After shave: Arko Men Cool after shave cream.

The no-brand, repaired razor was very cheap.
It shaves great ... ;-)

Greetings All,

Thursday shave.

One days' growth and warm shave

Preparation – showered with face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

Pre: Prorosa white pre-share
Soap: OSP – Barbershop Soap
Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Shark (3rd)
Brush: RazoRock 400 Noir

Post Shave: Cold water rinse, Alum, cold rinse, followed by Proraso aftershave lotion (red) and Nivea 2 Phase

Shark on the third use and still not disappointing.

The OSP Barbershop is a new soap for me and an awesome lather was whipped up with my Razorock 400. I think I must try more of the OSP range.

Stuck to my changed routine to see if that would help my neck irritation and showered before I shaved, although I changed it slightly and had no Proraso on the second pass. Maybe it was the soap's slickness but the result, a little bit of irritation, not as bad as usual.

May I recommend the OSP Lavender and also the bay rum, these can be purchased from the English shaving company if you can not find on the OSP website.

Razor: Standard Razor
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Soap: Wickhams 1912 Club Cola
Post: Boots Witch Hazel, Nivea 2 Phase & M&S Collezione Classic

First use a newly acquired Standard Razor, been longing for one since I let mine go. What a shaver, almost BBS all over with the same shave as always. Does feel a little different to my old one, maybe the coatings affect performance? No idea. First use of the LWP scuttle, very nice to contrast cold water shaving with warm lather. Need to practice lathering with the water sloshing about, maybe less H2O next time! Very happy today!

Squadron Sweetheart
I am a fan of Squadron soaps, and have several in the den. However, not Sweetheart, so gave it a whirl. I find that Squadron soaps lather very easily, and Sweetheart is no exception. I have found that whilst the lather looks ready almost immediately, it needs to be worked a little (with small additions of water) to get maximum slickness.
The scent of Sweetheart is indeed sweet - it reminds me of high quality confectionery. I don't normally like sweet scents, but there is something about Sweetheart that I find endearing. To me, the scent comes across as a sweeter, more contemporary version of Tabac, and I mean that as a compliment, as I also like Tabac.
The performance was excellent - cushioning was first class, as was glide and residual slickness. Post-shave feel was also very good.
We are indeed lucky little Vegemiters to have such fine artisanal products made here in Oz.

Stirling Ozark Mountain

Ozark Mountain shaving soap is one of my favourites, so was keen to give the aftershave splash a go. I was not disappointed - it mirrors the scent of the soap. A fresh forest scent that has a lovely bright appeal. I really like the way that Stirling formulate their fragrances.
I layered with APR Winterfell, which worked really well. Winterfell is an absolute cracker, but that's for another day.

Figaro P.160
Omega 49
Supermax twin blade disposable
Skin Bracer
Boots #7 balm

Using up some razors that have been hanging around unused. I think this was my first time using a disposable since starting using DEs some years back. Top notch quick shave, 99% BBS, and no sting with the AS. Must say I preferred it to using the Sensor I very occasionally use, nice not to have the lube strip snail trail that puts me right off modern carts.

Boots No7 balm is good stuff.
It's not greasy and absorbs well
I should use mine more often

Thursday 29th June
Zenith 507A TS
OSP Chypre Cream
Gillette Black Tip Superspeed
Personna Lab Blue #4
Rinse>Alum>Rinse
Lacoste Original A/S
Neutrogena Comfort Balm
MhLgPSv.jpg

Special shave today. The debut of my long awaited Birth Year razor, a 1952 Black Tip SS, which gave me a lovely shave with the OSP cream. The aftershave picked for this unique occasion was the Lacoste Original, which was discovered gathering dust in the back of our spare room cupboard by my exceedingly lovely wife. The date I bought it is easily over 20 years ago, and its scent is just how I remember and it is long lasting. So I'm super pleased on both counts.

Mastro Livi Grifetto

Shaving with Mastro Livi Grifetto is always a pleasure. The stainless steel Mastro Livi uses for this blade gives a lovely and velvety feedback while delivering the smoothest and closest shave. I must say I am very proud of this razor also for the fact I suggested the Grifetto name to Mastro Livi as well as the shoulderless design. The olive wood scales add an elegant and beautiful touch to this razor, a tribute to the Umbrian view where olive trees and vineyards are among the most common things you can see in our green hills. Mastro Livi Grifetto, proudly made in Perugia, Umbria. Italy, of course. A land rich in art, history, nice food and wines, monuments and breathtaking views. Not to mention magnificent and impeccable artisan straight razors.
