Greetings,
This weeks SOTD's have been some of the best i've had since i became a DE shaver, my saturday shave with my recently bought Parker 94R was a phonomenal, flawless silky smooth shave,..definetely one of the best shaves i've had the pleasure of having to date, matched up with a super-max SP blade a perfected duo..both made in India products..credit goes to the makers of Parker razors & Super-max SP double edge blades, superb quality well made products at a very reasonable price.;)

I've carried on with my 98R for today's shave, and the result was a 3 pass +pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report..No need to add my homemade shim to this lady, she's very efficient, like most of my Parker razor collection.

Enjoy your day,ladies & gentlemen. Happy shaving.

Thursday Morning:

Futur Clone (#2)
Wilkinson Sword blade (1)
Maseto 30mm 2-band
P&B Albion
Alum
Penhaligon's Endymion Cologne

Gave the Futur clone it's second outing. I'm going to use this another once then I'll be back to trimming with the old SR's for a little while - that being said, it does make light work of stubble, especially with a fresh blade, and makes for a quick and easy shave. Bowl lathering + Maseto 30mm made light work of P&B Albion, and swelled with luscious, thick, slippery lather. Painted that on my face and away to go.

I dialled it up to #2 after reading that someone struggled to remove lather with it on #1, which sort of rang true for me in my first outing. It left lovely traces and removed stubble like it wasn't there. I'm enjoying the heft of this, it takes next-to-no effort to wield around my throat. One minuscule weeper, I didn't even notice I'd nicked myself. Alum didn't do much biting as I only did a very gentle 2-pass shave, both with (ish) the grain. Super smooth in some places, fairly smooth in others and slightly stubbly in the usual problem areas (either side of adam's apple). All-in-all, a very good one for a quick 10 minute patch up this morning before work. After my next one I'll be writing a beginner's review!

Happy Thursday, all!

Razor...Iwasaki Kamisori 60mm
Soap...La Savonniere du Moulin
Brush...Cadman Bel TGN silvertip
Post...Thayers lavender
EDT...Paloma Picasso...Minotaure

With thanks to @nolisco for my sample of Moulin, it is a fantastic soap and was whipped up into a creamy lather with ease with my Cadman bell brush. I have already placed an order for a puck of this wonderful soap........enabler :)

So the lather was top draw, on to the shave..the freshly honed Kamisori just cut though the stubble as if it wasn't there, a fab shave was had, soft and smooth and no nicks whatsoever, the perfect shave.

Finnished off with Thayers and some Minotaure sprayed here and there. Looking good, smelling great, ready for the day.

Have a good one people.......:)
Nice to return the favour and enable you for a change :D

Brush: Shavemac Americana D01 Silvertip
Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable 'F3' w/ Rapira Swedish Supersteel (3)
Soap: Phoenix and Beau Albion
Post: Thayers Rose, Aloe Vera Gel & 4711 aftershave and cologne

A quicker than normal shave today as the boiler is getting serviced. Pure bliss it was too, I am liking these Rapira blades, I find you can't go wrong with the Russian made blades from this maker. The lather was wonderful today, the 10 week cure has certainly improved the soaps hell of a lot. The Shavemac is a fine brush indeed, enough lather to shave me and the dog. Finished off with my new favourite post shave routine and some 4711.

Last night's shave report below;

The second shave with the pass around Tradere, a couple of days stubble. Also my first use of a new Shavemac brush, a 25/48 2 band fan in a 386 handle with a black brown resin. The resin is lovely, lots of depth, nice colour play, I like it. I stuck to a soap I know to be able to test the brush properly after its shampoo and conditioner pampering session, Wickhams 1912 Magnum. Lovely soap. The brush performed well, the usual 30 seconds loading and face lather. It's an interesting knot, decent backbone with nice soft tips, very good flow through, it held on to very little lather. It's going to take at least a couple more uses to understand if this is a keeper for me, I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure if I enjoyed it as much as some of my other brushes. I can't really fault it though so it's a strange one!

The Tradere was loaded up with an Astra SP on its second use. Two passes later and I was smooth and feeling good. No nicks, no weepers. On this shave, I felt the teeth more than on my first outing, but the razor is still smooth, efficient and comfortable. I'm not blown away by it, but I enjoy it!

Finished as always witch Thayers Aloe WH, followed by Speick AB, followed by Pure Organic Argan Oil.

Have a good afternoon gents.

Pre: BBA Shave Butter
OSP Bay Rum
SV 2.0
ATT M2/ Nacet
Alum
BBA Post Shave balm (beard and 'tache area)
BBA Moisturiser
Extro Bay Rum, back of neck and chest.

Decided to try the BBA Shave Butter as a pre and a known soap as a control.
The shave was excellent, non-greasy but super glide, the OSP performed as usual, but there was a bit more cushion.
I'm really liking the 'bloody' post shave balm and finished off the top half of the face with their Face Moisturiser.
Lovely Bay Rum splash,....top drawer shave:)
