Pre: Olive Oil
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Brush: Omega 20106
Razor: Ever Ready Streamline w/GEM PTFE (2)
Post: Cold water, alum, Floid Suave, witch hazel gel.

I've struggled to get a comfortable smooth shave with Streamline for quite a while, I slowed down and took my time, ended up with a very comfortable close to BBS shave..

Omega s10065 Synthetic
De Vergulde Hand
The General +S/S handle
Feather Pro [ 9 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse off
Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion

So nice after a poor shave to have a good one. Considering that I was wary of using the Feather Pro ,
put off by tales of blood letting by many, I was persuaded by James@Acer89 to give it a go. I now had
9 shaves with it in my Franken-General, great shaves at no times have I felt under threat, or suffered any mishaps. Now need to try it in other razors.

You have discovered the secret of the Streamline, no hurry and take care. Probably my favourite Vintage SE.

Stirling Executive Man soap
PAA Prismatic razor
Lord Platinum (#2)
Maggard 22mm black synthetic brush
Chanel Allure AS

The Prismatic always amazes and moreso with top shelf blades. Stirling shaving soaps are easily in the top five best on Earth quality wise IMO and the fact that their plethora of scents are just gorgeous is just so much extra "gravy". ;)

Looks like a very nice razor Mike, is that chubby handle standard with it ?

Prep: Shower
Razor: Fatip Piccolo
Blade: Astra Green Pkt.
Brush: Vulfix / L'Occitane Plisson
Soap: Tabac Stick
Aftershave: Astral Cream (soft)
EDT: Lalique Encre Noir

Because of all the extremely positive reports on this forum I have purchased a Fatip, being a P.O.P. (poor old pensioner) I was also influenced by the very affordable price ie under twenty quid! :D This is my first shave with it.

I choose the Green Pkt. Astra blades as they are quite simply the blades I have the most experience with and thus a known quantity, before I started SE shaving I regularly used these blades

The appearance of the Fatip compares precisely with it's cost namely cheap, certainly not perfect, the surface finish has a lot of minor tool marks showing through the nickel plating but it is perfectly functional and the blade protrusion is equal along it's length and the same on both sides.

The shave I found to be really just superb, the razor is quite aggressive but not excessively so and in no way angle sensitive. I found it a super easy razor to use, not tricky and with no quirks. It is difficult (and probably wrong) to judge a razor on one shave but there are some razors where you can tell at the very first stroke that it will perform, this razor was one. This is one of the very best shaving DE razors I have tried, and it must rate in terms of value for money at the very top of the tree.

Regards
Dick.

Welcome to the Fatip Piccolo owners club! I have to say for me the Fatip is the benchmark against which I judge any other DE razor now, whatever the reason it simply just works for me. I did try it with a heavier handle once but find that I am actually happier with the original.

Pre Shave: Hot Shower, L'Oreal Hydra Power Face Wash and Proraso Red
Razor: Gillette Fatboy F2 Adjustable (9)
Blade: Polsilver Stainless (#2)
Brush: Hans Baier Silvertip
Soap: Truefitt & Hill 1805
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Humphreys witch hazel
AS: Nivea Replenishing balm

Excellent shave today, great results with the Polsilver Stainless in the Fatboy on setting 9. The T&H soap took a bit of effort to build up a lather but once there is was thick, slick and stable. There was some minor post shave irritation, possibly 9 on the Fatboy is too much for a 3 pass shave for me, but the irritation soon faded.
